I'm not so sure that the game systems of XIV would support the attrition style healing of WoW. I think the best solution would be to increase incoming damage to a moderate amount while cutting down the amount of healing we have.
Not true, we already had potency increases on our filler in EW, DT is going to be the DoT trait expansion. Dia II, Biolysis II, Combust IV and Eukrasian Dosis II, please look forward to it.![]()

Indeed. Along with a healing pot upgrade in Enhanced Healing magic @85. WHM could possibly get an Afflatus mastery trait that will upgrade all their lily skills, including Misery. I'd put good money down on SGE getting an Icarus upgrade allowing for two charges, and an upgrade to Pneuma reducing its cooldown to 90s.
SCH will be interesting considering the response it got during the job actions for EW, which then ended up getting one of the best new skills in the game. However, if the trailer shows them summoning Feo Ul, the cheers will be heard on a global scale. Such an eccentric and unpredictable job.

Summoning another Demi is quite possibly tje worst thing they could do with SCH and I think the only cheers would come from people who don’t really play SCHIndeed. The hardcore SCH community has wanted seraph deleted since day one, I don’t think another Demi is going to elicit any sort of positive reaction from them
I actually like XIV healers specifically because every job in this game is expected to contribute to DPS in significant ways, no matter the role. Which is why I loved Cleric Stance stance dancing because it added some complexity without the need of many different DPS buttons and still made every fight and healing with another healer extremely unique and dynamic in DF/PF. Since that won't be coming back, having more complex DPS rotations for this game's healing philosophies makes more sense. Exactly, healers being accomplished casters in their own right (hell they literally compete for the top spots in AOE damage) is good design; I don’t want to be a heal slave for the DPS main charactersI actually like XIV healers specifically because every job in this game is expected to contribute to DPS in significant ways, no matter the role. The problem comes from how boring the damage profile is on modern healers, I’m fine still only doing about 50-60% of the damage of the true DPS, but I’d like to achieve that in a more interesting way than spamming broil
Yeah...for how much DPS XIV's healers actually contribute their offensive kits are painfully limited compared to a lot of other games that follow the "heals first" mentality, which feels rather anomalous.
Moreso when the devs keep insinuating that they wanted healers to be focused on healing yet most of their casts in a given encounter are going to be their two offensive buttons.

I'd be perfectly happy if they went in either direction. Keep the kit as is and make people take so much damage that I'm actually needed or make healers more like tanks with a single target and AoE rotation with heals on the side. On a more serious note. SCH's been my main since I started playing the game back in 2015. Fey glamour has been heavily requested for a very long time, especially after SMNs got egi glamour, and increased further in ShB with the implementation of the Pixies, Feo Ul and Titania. It has zero to do with Seraph or their other skills, and the silly quest they gave us to glamour Eos into Carbuncle or Selene was like a spit in the face.

Even when having to vomit gcd heals every mech bc people stand in stupid and co healer isn't contributing after running out of ogcd resources, there's still broil taking 50% ish of all my casts just to rub it in.
