I don't think there's any way to spin spending 70-90% of your GCDs on one singular spell in an 8 minute fight as good design, yet people try to anyway.Yeah...for how much DPS XIV's healers actually contribute their offensive kits are painfully limited compared to a lot of other games that follow the "heals first" mentality, which feels rather anomalous.
Moreso when the devs keep insinuating that they wanted healers to be focused on healing yet most of their casts in a given encounter are going to be their two offensive buttons.

My rotation as a machinist: 1, Alt-1, Alt-2, 2, Alt-1, Alt-2, Alt-3, 3, Alt-4, Alt-1, Alt-2, Alt-5, Alt-7, 7, 8, 8, 8, 8, 8
My rotation as a healer: 3, 3, 3, 3, 3, 3, 3, 3, 3, 3, 3, 8 /p I'm sorry, I thought someone needed a heal, my bad /embarassed 3, 3, 3, 3

My rotation as healer: C,Q,Macro,Q,Macro,Q,Macro,F1,2,S2,S1.............. Weave in other abilities/heals.ect
Rest: Depends on the group; some groups eats every possible dmg and req global healing to survive-
- Gameplay is most fun when a lot of new players; Players that takes huge amount of dmg
- Least fun when party doesn't take much dmg, and i have to dps 80%.

Mines more flashy:
L2: square, square, square, d-left > square, x, x, square, square, square, square, square, square, square, square, square, square, d-left square…
Sage coming in hot with a rotation as spicy as whole wheat bread. Our ‘DPS healer,’ ladies and gentlemen… a healer designed to respond to the criticism of the Shadowbringers healer formula.

Healer is a boring, unengaging, repetitive and too easy with NO skill ceiling mess. I do not care at this point if we get complex healing or complex dps but we NEED one of the two.
My hot take is the dev team does not play and lies to us about "playing the game" because this boring hot mess cant be unnoticed by any dev worth their salt. I dont believe that they are incompetent. They plain old lie to us.
When I saw that we were going from Broil III at 290 potency in ShB to Broil IV at 295 potency in EW, I was shaking with how excited I was. I couldn't believe they were so generous with a whole 5 potency. I'm going to probably scream in excitement when 7.0 comes out and Broil V hits 300 potency, playing SCH going to be WILD once it hits 300!!!

To add to this with my own rotation straight out from the forbidden website:Mines more flashy:

This is a 70 healing percentile run on P10S, the scary healer fight of the tier and even there I did some math and:
-80,19% of the total GCDs are just pressinng the dosis button (didn't count eukrasia for the people that want to double check the numbers, instead I just counted the number of eukrasian dosis and prognosis and treated them as a whole GCD)
-97,02% of the total GCDs are used on damage dealing actions (once again didn't count eukrasia)
-69,25% of the total actions, GCDs and oGCDs are spent on damage dealing actions (I did count eukrasia for this one, if I removed it then it would be 74,52%)
I don't know how the devs can look at that and think is a well designed gameplay.

Don’t forget Toxikon, the only tool directly referenced as being their answer to healers wanting more DPS actions—an attack attached to a gauge as bad as Stormblood lilies with arguably even less impact.

They play the game they play DPS and Warrior.Healer is a boring, unengaging, repetitive and too easy with NO skill ceiling mess. I do not care at this point if we get complex healing or complex dps but we NEED one of the two.

They don't play healers that's for sure.
