Young players are not going to play FF14

And to be clear who made it about players under 18? Yoshi P did by making references to popular games. Maybe there's a chance he's talking about 20 to 35. I doubt it. I mean even if he is, a lot of them are playing those other games anyway.

Oh I see, so this whole issue is because you assume "young player" = under 18? Uh, I have never heard about such thing. Also, 20->35 is a very long stretch. more like 20'. Also, watching Yoshi's interview over the years I'm pretty sure the young player he's referring to are people in their 20'. Like college age students or people who just joining the workforce. Several times, He had cited his encounters with these people on the street or in the subway when he commute to work, and those encounters are part of what inspired him to make the game for those people. And it's not just him, personally that's exactly the age group I would assume too when I heard "young player", and and not the under 18.

Another pointer is he had, more then once explain the reason FF14 is designed the way it is because he wants to acknowledge that everyone is busy with life and work, and he wants FF14 to be a game people can come and relax and unwind, that's his "expressed" wish ... That doesn't sound like something you would say if you're talking about people under 18.
