They're both live service titles. The inclusion of gacha is irrelevant. Genshin also isn't even a true MMO, yet I still compared them. It isn't so much about the genre as much as it is games competing for younger audience's time. As I said in the post.

Yoshi P himself is comparing XIV to Fornite and Overwatch. Why not just admit you tried to make a point out of a game including gacha and it just isn't relevant. It's the exact same as saying Fornite and Overwatch are shooters so they aren't relevant. Except they are because myself AND Yoshida both understand that XIV is competing for time, like all entertainment.
