Also what OP there did was really really manipulative, they didn't go for the peak or average they picked two days out with the highest and lowest number and called it a day. Which is really disingenuous.

Launch peaked at around 100k while every patch peaks at around 50k which is just normal cause every new expansion launch generates a massive amount of hype. Average player count at patch months is 27k and then over the months it goes down to 18k and then with a new patch up again. This is just a healthy cycle and not the doom and gloom OP is screaming about. That we lost 70% of the playerbase is simply and utterly a lie to just stir the forum up.

So yeah guys, look at the steamcharts. Cause they tell a completely different story to what OP is saying.

If you really want the truth: XIV has now in content luls and patchmonths more players than it had at Shadowbringer release. And Shadowbringers had the same compared to Stormblood. This is a steady growth we are seeing and i suspect that the next expansion will have more players at patch months than Endwalker had at release. Cause so far that is the constant trend for the game since it came out, it just grew and still grows.
God the coping is strong with this one, here's another "the game is thriving" "the game is growing" lmao

The amount of copium from the very few people in every single thread about FFXIV losing players is absolutely comical, keep it coming, and keep thinking the game is "thriving and growing" as its not even managing to keep the actual players and do player retention more than a week after a new patch is out (if even a week)
