Maybe because the advice is given aggressively? Because that ‘s not my experience. When I give advice, I do it nicely in an encouraging manner and I explain why. I usually get thanks and/or comms.

Depending on the person, it doesn't matter how you give advice. There are some people who just will not listen and/or get hostile towards you for daring to give them "unsolicited" advice. You could be giving it in the nicest, most encouraging way possible, yet they'll still read it as condescending/patronising/insulting.

This is a discussion, it's a bit different from interacting with players in-game. I'm calling out on what you're insinuating, but you're right, that was bait, wasn't it?

After all, if no one says anything then you run free with your statement, but if anyone says anything then you challenge them on how they interact with others.

You'd be surprised. It does happen. You phrase advice in the nicest way possible and someone WILL (either intentionally or unintentionally) find a way to read it as condescending.

I still remember when I neutrally recommended a WHM to use Holy III and both DPS jump down my throat and tell me to just focus on tanking (and then the WHM decided to only use Holy III, out of range, and never heal me from then on. Good thing I was a WAR).

And then there was this gem.

No matter how nice you are wording it, you are lecturing them for their wrongdoing in front of at least two other people.

Stuff like this should be handled in private, but of course we can't use /tell inside dungeons.
