Why do people avoid getting better at the game?

I been to a couple venues and unless you are there for some adult business or have a circle then it is the most boring thing out there. I went to a few and reviewed them on my Tiktok on how they conduct themselves etc and since no one knew who I was most of the time the "staff" are oblivious so they can't even RP right let alone do real content

No one is forcing you to play a game you feel is mediocre, at best. Indeed, why you are so passionate about being angry over it being what it is is mind boggling.

I don't get it either - and crap from that useless 'platform' occasionally pops up on my Facebook feed and is almost always either a BS, staged, video of some moron pretending to be blind (thus mocking people with genuine sight-related disabilities) and ' accidentially' knocking laptops into water before revelaing the (utterly lame) prank and giving the 'victim' a new laptop, or some arrogant idiot with big abs and a skintight top having girls admire his body.

This is sounding like one of those scenarios where the person is like "You aren't playing as well as I personally think you should, therefore you are bad."

That's just your opinion. If they completed the content, then they have done the minimum needed

Slightly off topic but do y'all remember that msq in endwalker when we had to play as a soldier and people literally created threads about it being too hard and the devs nerfed it? So yeah, what are we talking about again?

Normal mode wasn't nerfed. Only easy and very easy as far as I'm aware. Personally speaking, it was an amazing instance. Some people are allergic to fun, apparently.

I thought I was going to die the whole time. I was genuinely surprised I made it. Lots of fun TBH. It's one of the few moments in FFXIV where I actually felt fear.
