^ This exactly. It's on the person themselves to fix their poor gameplay, not on the person being critical to clean up someone else's act. With the amount of resources that are out there for learning this game, there's little excuse for not taking the initiative to learn other than pure laziness. If someone's getting criticized a lot, perhaps that's a sign that they should put more effort into learning the game, their job, the fight, their movement, etc. That's not to say that simple mistakes don't happen, of course they do, but if it's just a simple one time mistake then just shake any criticism off, say "sorry, my bad", and do better on the next attempt.

I agree. In my personal experience, the people who will freak out and overreact to non-constructive criticism also will do the same with constructive criticism. Because of that, when there is a conflict over it, I don't think that it's a problem with the type of criticism given, or how constructive it was, but more with the person being criticized themselves and how willing they are to listen and take what they hear to heart. This is an anecdotal example, but one of the former members of the static I'm in had this problem. It didn't matter how nicely you put your criticism, you could sugarcoat it as much as possible, offer to help fix the issue in any way you could, offer a large selection of solutions, it just didn't matter to them. They treated every little bit of criticism as a personal attack and would have a meltdown if you dared not pretend like they were perfect. We tried to help them fix the issues they were having, but eventually they just left in a huff, and by then no one really had a desire to ask them to come back.

I think this is a good example of what's wrong with a lot of the community for this game. A lot of people have fallen into the mindset of either "I'm perfect just the way I am" or "My mistakes don't matter so no one should care and if they do, I don't care", and it's not only a toxic mindset, but a self-defeating mindset in the long run.

It's not up to everyone else to cater to your feelings. You have to understand that their enjoyment is just as important as your own.

Being called out sucks. I get it. But if you don't want to be called out, don't give anyone a reason to.
And this is an example of the proper response to being criticized. Someone told you that you were bad? Do the research, learn the game, get better. Then, like you said, no one will have a reason to criticize you.
