I mostly agree but they're are defiantly people out there who are hypersensitive and who expect society to constantly pander to them. Most people that claim for the utmost free speech have very little interesting to say. We live in society, society perception of right and wrong changes over time. We stabilish limits, evolve certain conceptions, that's how the world goes. Yeah many comedians from decades ago wouldn't have a place now, but imagine if we all had the same sense of humour forever.
This has very little to do with getting soft, it's about change, and it always happened and it will keep happening. You might choose to get sour over it but I don't think it's something worth putting energy into.
