How is it more selfish? If glamour is something that may or may not actually do anything depending on the player, then it means I have to make sure that the gear I wear is gear I like the look of and that looks together, which means I can't actually access BiS gear, which directly interfers with my gameplay. I wouldn't mind the Euphrosyne gear, but I can only get 1 piece per week. To get a full set to actually look good will end up taking way too much time. I don't want to be seen a certain way. I'd rather you just substitute my character with a randomly generated grand company NPC.

And how would creating a no-glamour server be worse than that? You get an entire server dedicated to that style of RP. How is that selfish or limiting?
