The fact that we used hydaelyn/azem's crystal to purify zero in another world that she doesn't even want to save is wild to me. This is after y'shtola told us not to use the crystal way before we beat meteion because it had little power left.

It was the Ascians that gave up on the Thirteenth, not Hydaelyn, because they got too carried away when bringing calamity upon that shard; we never really got her opinion on the state of the Thirteenth. All we know is that her champion in that world was beaten before they could mature in a proper hero; it's very likely that Hydaelyn wanted to save the Thirteenth, but never really got the chance to do so since she usually acts via her champion(s).
