Emet's crystal is a bit different if I remember right. It holds Azem's ability to summon allies and friends but I don't think it actually has any power in it(or Azem's memories unlike the other constellation crystals because this crystal was made in secret by Emet). The crystal is merely a tool and the power itself we use to invoke the crystal comes from the WoL character.

At least that's how I understood it.

Oh, that makes more senses than how i thought it worked.

After Hydaelyn's magick disappeared from the crystal in Ultima Thule, i took it as meaning that magick power the crystal.
But if it worked that way, the crystal would be empty since a long time ago.
