A tank is there to soak the damage , with mits and self heals

And they can only soak the damage with mits and self heals if they pull enemies. It stands to reason that they have to navigate to those enemies first. It's generally accepted that a tank pulls those enemies because if someone else does, the enemies will probably kill them. So we have established that it is the tank's job to navigate to the enemies and that it is also the tank's job to pull them. Saying the tank should ask permission to do their job is like saying a healer should ask permission to heal or that a DPS should ask permission to DPS.

This is ridiculous. I don't play with a stopwatch.

I don't either. I enable timestamps in my chatbox so I can see when the run started and ended.
