Keep talking when said person has already farmed 480 from normal raids and will clear savage in the next few weeks. Can’t wait to make you elitist raiders eat those words when I a normal person clear savage raids without being a raider.

But if you clear a Savage raid, won't become a evil raider yourself?![]()

Honestly, it sounds more and more like they consider raiders to be alien life forms. It doesn't seem to occur to them that people who don't raid extensively might find the current Healer design a bit too simplistic.

No, because I consider raiding like a "mindset" if that makes sense. You can clear raids without being a legit raider in mentality.
I just don't like raiders because of how they think about the game. Everything has to be optimized, and consistent etc.

Mechanics are Aesthetics. Graphics don't make interesting gameplay.

Who said I was an elitist?
I don't have a static and only bother to do a Savage tier when I have the time to do so because my Work Schedule changes on a dime. I only cleared E12S because how long the wait for EW was and the last Raid Tier I cleared when it was relevant was O8S back in SB. I've been out of the raid scene for so long that I couldn't dream of calling myself an elitist nowaday. Hell, I couldn't even call myself an elitist when I did have time to clear raids because my static back then was just a group of friends I played with and we sucked but we still went thru with it because it was just fun to do. I no longer play with them due to my hectic work schedule but I still periodically pop in to a raid tier just to keep myself engaged since Healers have become so boring since my old Coil Days. Another thing to consider as well is that I play on PS4, have been since I started playing back in ARR, and don't even have access to a parser to check how well I'm doing outside the few random occasions when a random in PF parsed a fight. I'd called myself Midcore at best.
You clearing a savage tier wouldn't really prove anything to me other than that healing has become even more braindead easy than I imagined it to be.
Not sure why people are giving AFuzzyMu11in any time of day, clearly a troll trying to derail the thread.
The biggest issue is that square just can't reconcile that some people won't play some jobs optimally. Instead of accepting that people will do that and complain about jobs being hard, they lower the skill ceiling on them. Sure it might make the more casual players happy, but even then for a job like this it's very rarely going to make someone who hated the job start loving it and want to main it. Meanwhile those who enjoyed it before feel alienated.

I'll give 'em this much, it takes a lot to maintain "Spamming 111111111111111111 is super fun and anyone who wants to do something other than that is a dirty toxic optimizer" for as long as they have.

You know that isn't my viewpoint, I just think there is a balance between as you call it "Slyphie and something that isn't boring" I actually recognize that the current iteration of scholar/healers in general might be boring for some. What I want to stress is I think the player this fails to reach is the type that nothing will be enough. Lets say they give healers 3 buttons instead of Broil, It becomes Broil 4 444 Super broil proc broil 4 again while maintaining the dot. Sorta like how smn procs used to be I think iirc, or maybe blm. My point is even if they did this change there are going to be people crying about how this isn't fun still and needs more complexity. I think the devs realize they can't win with people like this.
