I really do enjoy it, I sorta understand why some of you guys don't because your generally just bored with the game and not taking in the experience for the experience I think. But to me in "my opinion" it is fun. I like constantly moving my character etc. But you have to understand I'm the type of person who can play an RPG to something like "The King" by YFN in a tales/rpg and run back and up down an hallways for 100 XP when it takes 2500 to level up per 3 minute fight. Seeing numbers get bigger, seeing the numbers of your enemy go down, as you get stronger, seeing your own skill improve as you can just start to style on bosses by just outplaying them doing little movement, because you perfect your positioning etc or you just over level them, that is fun to me in a RPG. The fact that you can see yourself improve and just dog down bosses/mobs that gave u problems before.

"Pressing 111111111111 is soooooooooo fun" is literally your stated opinion, because you're a troll.

Current healers have almost zero complexity to them, and you know that. This isn't a case of "no complexity is ever enough for the evil stinky toxic raiders", this is a case of "current healers are at dangerously crayon-eating levels of non-complexity". Perhaps those dirty evil raiders might be pleased if Square ever added a gameplay loop to a healer job instead of stripping and stripping and stripping every single expansion. Evil meanie raiders are mad because they're never catered to. Classes get stupider and stupider every expansion, and it's never walked back in the slightest. Sylphies have been catered to every single expansion, and they're bewildered why anyone would dislike the design direction, because Sylphies are the only type of healer that wish both the skill floor AND ceiling to be blissfully united at zero.

I'll be honest, who cares if the skill floor and ceiling are the same for HEALING. That means anyone can pick up healer and the job that is in MOST demand in the game well, that means that people can feel good about healing once they get better at understanding the game. Unlike other roles where you must understand the role and how it interacts with your champion, and how your champion interacts with specific things, and how to play it properly, the healer role is just understand the game, not the champion so much. It makes it much easier to play it. There is nothing wrong with this seeing as it's the role in most demand, making it harder will just make healers less popular than they already are.

More than likely SE has data that making healer easier means more healers are queing up, and if they add complexity it means people stop playing it so much. That's truly what is probably driving their decisions tbh.

Literally anyone who wants to play the role for a long time and does not see it as just an easy mode for the game, a skill floor and ceiling too close make a task shallow and lacking in self accomplishment and its one of the worst design pitfalls you can fall into.

the healer role is just understand the game, not the champion so much
No? Unless what you search is a carry you want to know what all of your skills do and how they synergize with your party in order to play it properly, this is a team game and not working with the team and not knowing what your skills do is the same as being dead weight

making it harder will just make healers less popular than they already are.
Not really, a lot of people just dont play healer because they find it simply too boring which adds up to the preconceived ideas about healer to not being picked up, yes it may make the casual sylphie enter the job easily but it doesnt make them stay around for long, having 4 healers with that lack of depth and so similar is like EA marketing, you can get a lot of sales day 1 but your playerbase wont last long.

More than likely SE has data that making healer easier means more healers are queing up, and if they add complexity it means people stop playing it so much. That's truly what is probably driving their decisions tbh.
Or considering how literally over 90% of what they've said about healers is the opposite of what really happens and the lack of healer dedicated job designers they simply have no fucking idea what they're doing and just make them simple because they can't handle anything past that

It's in demand because the old players that liked Healing before have left due to how mind numbingly boring it's become.

Anyone who wants a class that grows?

Why do only healers not get a higher skill ceiling? Why do we get to be the sole role in the entire game that feels so homogenized that you can literally play anyone of them, not because they're well balanced but because they play the same?

We have 4 classes and you can make the argument that half of them are clones with just a shallow gauge that the devs don't even want to expand on and make it feel good to truly separate them.

That. Is. Bad. Game. Design. Specifically bad class design.

I'm tired of being told to wait for post-patches and expansions for fixes and increased healing requirements that are never coming. Healers are not fun in all forms of content like all jobs should be, they're replaced by tanks and dps due to low healing requirements and their dps kit is small for 0 reason, when in the past we had more options and handled things just fine. I refuse to play healer in roulette come DT. I refuse to heal EXs, I refuse to go into Savage, and I am boycotting Ultimate.

Has it ever occurred to you healing is so in demand because nobody actually wants to play this shell of a job design where all they do is spam a single button?

What's there to even feel good about? You aren't healing because content barely demands it. Look at the threads from healers upset that Warrior can completely negate their existence. Every single dungeon boss can be solo'd. Even the damn EXs can be solo'd with the right comp. Healing is so irrelevant in casual content right now it's actually better to drop them entirely. Three of the four tanks, especially Warrior, just don't need them. How exciting is that for new healers who want to genuinely heal and not just spam their single target nuke or AoE? It isn't. Hence why some healers are complaining the tanks need to have their healing nerfed. Which is hilariously ironic as they're so close to discovering what the actual problem is but can't quite bring themselves to admit SE's healer design is incredibly flawed.

Look at all of these actions skills buttons etc you had to manage in just 3.0 HW, and 4.0 SB. I hated healing during this patches and just stayed playing dps. Why would I put in all that work as a healer when I can do the same work as dps with just a long complicated rotation and do damage and carry.

Just because you don't like it, doesn't mean there aren't people who do. Many people found this fun and instead of tweaking things here and there for comfort the class(es cause I'm going to include AST here with their cards as well as some WHM abilities) got gutted to where the people who originally loved the design of the job no longer recognized their class outside of the remaining abilities and its name.

How is that ok? How is that fair to the people who lost something they love? And how is it fair for SE to do such a thing and say "get used to it" because the old design isn't coming back? It isn't. And no, we shouldn't just get used to it and leave it well alone. Does this mean they should 100% go back to the old design. No. There are plenty of improvements that can be done to the old one or the current one we have to make the jobs feel better and fun to play.

That's the whole reason why we're complaining. Our role is not fun to the people who want to play healer because its balanced around the people who arguably do not. And on top of that like Nizzi before me we have so many people saying to just leave. Now I am not a HW AST nor a SB one. I came into FFXIV during early Shb and only got to play the new card system and came to FFXIV because I liked the old system. And as a person who's only played Shb and EW AST even I find it unfair that AST and SCH got their jobs changed so significantly in a way the old players disliked to be horrendous.

The stormblood one is also heavensward. Stormblood had on scholar like 7 dps related buttons (1 cleric stance, 1 shadow flare, and energy drain are 3 of the buttons). I healed the endwalker 1 trial solo as sage and i was still bored too death.

You realize that even in these meme guides there is an abundance of Broil spamming, right?
You also realize that you could make the exactly same guide with the current class design, right?
