My post in the positionals thread was quite dismayed, but I'm...not disliking it so far. Currently lv86, not that it gets anything truly new from 81-90. I mained it in ARR, and it's been a close secondary since until now where I decided to go back to it because MCH was too easy for my tastes.

It might just admittedly be obfuscation from the changes betraying 8 years of habit, but I'm finding them distracting enough to not really be concerned about positionals atm. Not that I don't keep running to the rear for Bootshine because gosh undoing 8 years of muscle memory is impossible. In a dummy / full uptime situation it's probably more straightforward than it's ever been, but since that's rarely the case in actual fights, it's been quite intense having to make quick decisions about where to realign everything or restart my combos with so many free stance gcds, it's a bit overwhelming in the heat of combat sometimes, maybe it's just me. I suppose it doesn't help that the buff icon for Twin Snakes is completely different making me blindly drop it sometimes too because I don't scan that distinct pinkish look on my buffs. It does feel horrible when something becomes untargetable just as you execute a Blitz though and don't get the Nadi.

I dunno, I think it's alright. So far. Not amazing, but I'm not like...immediately repulsed either. The blitzes do feel really weighty when used, especially TK. I'm not too bothered about the loss of OGCDs, pressing EF/TK like once, maybe twice, outside of buff windows isn't exactly a big loss to me, outside of trash aoe in the case EF anyway. Although Riddle of Wind could be repurposed into something more impactful feeling; maybe activating an ogcd continuation-like combo every 90s only you can weave whenever you want and it expires after 3 uses. And Shoulder Tackle being tied to damage was just irritating as hell personally, good riddance. I'll have to wait until max level and the new rotations / reallignment priority becomes second nature before really knowing how I feel though, as I said the changes are blindsiding me too much to have time to think about what the positionals were..those PB charges go by quicker than I'd think. I don't think it's boring at least.
