In other words, you're willing to give someone who resorts to targeted insults a free pass due to the assumption that it is supposedly just a joke but are entirely unwilling to give someone else the benefit of the doubt when they poke fun with a meme at the expense of a vocal portion of the player base with no specific individuals singled out? is that correct or am I missing something here?

I don't want to outright assume that this is a case of moving goalposts, but I'm admittedly struggling to see it as anything but that at this point...

Yeah and we see what Lauront said as just memeing and a joke. But you say it's an insult.

This whole side of the argument started because I fired back, with a very tame joke. I wasn't offended by what he said, I just pointed out it wasn't exactly the wholesome brady bunch stuff people are making it out to be.

I disagree. I don't think that is what happened at all and that this is indeed a case of moving goalposts. I'm also not 'offended', though I suppose the suggestion is in itself another example of certain posters attributing false intent to other forum participants.

There's clearly more opposed to it than in favor of it.

This forum is in itself not a good representation of the wants of the playerbase as a whole, to say nothing of the fact that the original post would perhaps be better served being moved over to the PvP sub-forum. Still, eight likes is a respectable amount given that the thread hasn't even been up for an entire twenty four hour period yet. We also know that the development team are not at all opposed to putting niche content out there for players to engage with.

That completely ignores the fact that many of the posts that come after that are opposed to the idea and have more "like"s than the OP if you want to go there. One against it currently has quadruple the amount of likes. By that logic, regardless of the 10 people in favor of it, there's 4 times as many opposed to it.

Clearly you’re offended in some capacity. You went to the lengths of lying and saying he was insulting someone and that no insults were thrown around until he supposedly insulted someone. He then gave proof of someone else spouting an insult and you tried to move goalposts by saying it was clearly a “joke.” Keep getting caught in all these lies lady. How about just try being honest. Also in regards to your dev work comment. I was merely critiquing you on your comment about the game doing better. Can’t really say that’s true when we’ve seen nothing but downgrades in content this expansion. The playerbase growing has more to do with there just not being any good mmo’s atm than there being a good amount of content.

I'm merely responding to posts on a forum. Which in itself is hardly a strenuous or in-depth affair. If someone were to call me, right now, I would answer the phone with similar nonchalance.

Even if one were to assume that such was not the case, would it not also imply that you are more overly invested in this discussion than you claim? Or is this but another case of 'rules for thee but not for me' at play?
