The people very vocally shouting down any request touching on the areas I mentioned, of which there is an abundance of examples one can survey by simply reviewing threads on those topics. Not really hard to grasp, now is it? No idea why you'd think I meant the PVE community, either.

He's significantly more mature than the vast majority of naysayers in this thread.

Once again the FFXIV players supposedly so concerned with 'toxicity' prove to be among the first to resort to personal attacks and attempted character assassination of individuals they do not know in the slightest.

I mean most people just afk in Limsa, so I don't think enough people would engage in open world pvp for it to warrant any dev time. Also, in the few times that I do venture out into the open world to gather I don't want to worry about randoms coming up and killing me. My bot axe doesn't deal much damage.

He did no such thing, though it's pretty clear to me that there's little reasoning with certain posters at this point. I also happen to know him both in-game and the real world, so I daresay I'm a far better judge of his character and intent than someone who has read a handful of his forum posts and chosen to attribute them entirely to false premises.

Personally I don't see much point in getting up in arms over a meme, either. Some people find them funny, others don't. I think that the prudent course would be to shrug and move on instead of trying to actively tarnish someone's reputation by misconstruing their contributions to a thread.

just my opinion, but putting out anything in the face of the restrictions imposed by a GLOBAL REAL WORLD HEALTH EVENT may have had an influence of that.

I guess things may have been different in your country though so you have far higher expectations
