In FF12 Viera didn't even need to be physically close to each other because the Forest would tell them where their kin is. We know that from scene where Fran asks where her sister went.

We don't know if Forest talks to them in FF14 (there is a hint to that in the Fanow, but it's not clear about The Source), but we do know from Dramaturge that one Viera told to him the next: “When I was younger and far more the fool than I am now, I asked a Viera if she did not find her tribe’s ways awkward. Was it not within the natural order for males and females of a species to coexist? The woman answered me thus: ‘The value of coexistence will not be found ‘neath a loincloth. Long has our kind endured understanding that the distance 'twixt two bodies does not dictate the distance 'twixt two souls.’” This dialogue is available at Prima Vista up to this day.

They may not share same roof, but it doesn't mean they aren't close, as it doesn't mean that they aren't the parts of one same society, because they very much are in their own ways.
I suppose it depends on which definition you use, but they definitely don't live together even with each other.
