Hrothgar, Highlander and Roegadyn aren't to everybody's tastes. A lot of people - myself included - have been asking for years to have more options for masculine looking characters that are tall, handsome and who boast realistic proportions. Something inspired by the likes of Snow from FFXIII, Gladio from FFXV, Jecht from FFX and Basch from FFXII.

We may or may not see such options where male Viera are concerned. It remains to be seen given that we've yet to see the full range of customisation options and base faces available to them.

I don't think male Viera in their current state are overly feminine or androgynous to the extent that some in this thread are claiming them to be. Certainly, I can tell at a glance that they're men and not women.

Of course, given how some choose to design their characters I don't doubt that they'll be trying to make them as short and feminine looking as possible but niche aesthetics are niche aesthetics and there's a higher chance than not, I reckon, that male Viera will be able to be designed with as broad a range as Midlander or Miqo'te men.
