Also I still do not get no one has really pointed out why holding a minor that willfully lies, seeks outs such attention to the point where they willfully mislead and lie to gain access should not be held accountable for their actions? Because they are a child? Shouldn't they have been taught better to know that willing lying to someone to gain something you want is wrong? Why is this behavior protected? Sure you may say we do punish them, but let us be real said punishment is not really a deterrent. It is a mild inconvenience at best in the moment compared to what an adult goes through. Our laws need to adapt and reflect the times. Minors are exposed to many elements that leads some to mature at a quicker pace then in the past, and connects them with a plethora of people with differing ages, maturely levels, sensibilities, comprehension and understanding of the world around them. Sure I am sure the amount of minors that willfully target naïve adults and pray on those with social and emotional deficits are few and far in-between. Though personally the fact that the possibility remains should be reflected not only in our laws but in our understanding as a society when it comes to such actions. I know it is hard for many to see but sometimes the minor is not the victim and should not be treated as such.



Thing is not a single person has exampled the difference beyond, they are a child / minor and they do dumb shit that is part of growing up. I am sorry if I refuse to sit here and think a child / minor that willfully lies and deceives another person either in some attempt to be an adult or to just get people in trouble should be treated as an innocent and blindly condemn another without looking at the context, and even when the context is taken into account it often boils down to tough should have known better. When for all they we know they had no means to no better cause they did not have the life experience to tell the difference, read the cues or what have you.
