Few dungeons I run have new players anymore, and of those that do few ask me to slow down.

It comes down to a conflict of interest. I don't mind pulling slow if someone asks me, but if the rest of the party rushes through and picks up mobs my duty as a tank is to keep them from dying, so I do just that. When I see that some folk don't care, I'm left with little choice but to rush because if I don't they're going to get their impatient selves killed. Nobody ever makes that request though, and given this game's MO is to rush through everything as fast as possible I assume the party is OK with that.

(Enjoyment also can't be quantified, and not all new players care about exploring the areas. Some just want to get to raids ASAP and don't give a lick about the story.)

Yes, Praetorium gets it worst. I had that issue when I started playing 2 months after ARR released. It sucks, but it is what it is.
