People said there were a lack of tanks. All I wanted was some kind of source or data backing that up. I just wanted stats.
Especially because I saw that big job satisfaction survey on Reddit and saw tanks made two of the top 3 spots.

Yeah, it's from reddit and not SQEX itself, but it IS an impressive amount of data and I can't find anything from SQEX itself.
It seemed to me like there was just a vocal minority complaining on the forums... Which is where people go to complain.
I thought someone had data to the contrary.
Something concrete to support the claim that there are less tanks.
If someone has anything please share it. I will continue lurking in this thread, even if I don't intend to post.
You should look at that survey. Out of that survey the two most under performing jobs for DPS, the worst healer, AST which have hated the rework of their systems since beginning of the expansion, then the two underperforming 'burst tanks' that have been complaining about thier entire job identity (or lack their of) since the beginning and MCH who has not recieved any buffs to keep up with the other DPS. Yes, tanks are in a bad spot, but only PLD is the one with both a high play rate (for tanks) as well as a somewhat high review. GNB which is the highest of the reviews is one of the lowest played Tanks next to WAR... which means people are likely giving it glowing reviews because "its new" and people dabble into it and had fun... but aren't sticking with it.
Also, yes, the 2867 survey is far too small of a sample size when even the larger community (Japan) is now angry with the state of tanks/healers. So trying to say "where is the data" when there is so many different personal experiences as well as just looking at queue times makes it a giant "well no duh they are right about thier premise". Also... DPS in need has always been a thing for 24 mans... cause you only need 3 tanks. Before when we had 6 tanks required it was Tanks in need usually. They had to change the composition for 24 mans just so queue could actually move instead of slowly creeping because they needed too many tanks.
