Unless there's another comment I missed, based on what you've quoted I didn't get the idea that they were brushing off anyone who hasn't had the same luck with fc's that they have. The way I interpreted it was that they were just saying that their personal experience with a fc that does shout recruitment wasn't bad and they felt like it wasn't fair to make blanket statements indicating that they're all toxic places to end up based purely on recruitment style. Just because they had a different experience, that doesn't make your experience or the other poster's experience any less valid. I've also known a few wonderful fc's who have advertised through shout chat; that doesn't mean that I don't believe there are less wonderful groups who do the same.
Why should someone not speak up in defense of good guilds when people like yourself denigrate ALL large guilds from your own bad experience? Your reply to me makes zero sense. I'm sorry you've have bad experiences. Not all large guilds are bad.
So you agreed to let them stay when they wanted to talk to you about the situation like adults, then later on you decide to remove them anyway?
I can't exactly agree with anything they did after they were removed, but I can't disagree with them being upset with how you handled the situation.

I'll take "Reading the situation incorrectly" for $500, Alex.So you agreed to let them stay when they wanted to talk to you about the situation like adults, then later on you decide to remove them anyway?

FC's are not a democracy. You can be kicked for any reason or no reason with little or no notice or even after the fact of being warned, FYI the members who were kicked were already associated with the past members kicked so either way we would still get harassed even if it was a different outcome and just so you know I had every reason to kick them for what has already happened. So you agreed to let them stay when they wanted to talk to you about the situation like adults, then later on you decide to remove them anyway?

I'm of the opinion, where the FC company chest is concerned, that the most valued items should only be accessible by the leaders and it's officers. This would also include the FC's gil as well. There should never be too many hands in the cookie jar and on the most valued cookies in that jar to help deter theft. That way if there is a theft it falls on the shoulder's of the leader and the officers only. We have members that have been with us 2 or 3 years, but they do not have access to all tabs of the company chest, nor should they. The things in that chest belong to all the members of the FC, (this includes items brought back by submarine/airship) too, but it doesn't mean they should have free reign over everything in the chest. That's why there are leaders and officers in the first place. To decide on how best to use these items for the benefit of the FC. Favoritism is never a good practice.
You said they knew the rules. Do you have these rules posted for your members to read when they first join? If you do then by all means kick!FC's are not a democracy. Yes, We have rules on our discord and when someone new joins the FC, we make sure they also in turn know and understand the rules we abide by.
Good. I feel no member belonging to my FC, should be bad mouthing another member in "any" public forum, including open FC chat, streams, /say, /shout, social media and the like.
