It's not even about simplifying, I'd just like it if it seemed like Square Enix learned something for once. They combined Verflare and Verholy into other slots so they weren't their own button, but at no point had the epiphany of "not everything needs to be it's own button". It ends up giving me the feeling that Gunbreaker was designed in a vacuum by a completely different team, like SE doesn't let their employees talk to each other and share ideas about the game. At some point somebody should have noticed that Continuation itself is always grayed out, it's a trait in ability form, a placeholder for other skills that doesn't need to exist.
