So because healers and RDM has been changed, GNB should be changed in the same manner too?Sure but Gnashing Fang could just turn into Jugular Rip, instead of having the extra button. Like, SE just changed Flare/Holy to do exactly that for RDM. They used to be their own buttons and now Verthunder/Veraero just turn into them. Did they intentionally design continuation with the intent of giving themselves something to de-bloat in 6.0?
Why?
Uhhhhh the combo is like stupid easy on a controller, do you need a layout to help you?
I have the combos right next to each other so it's really not that hard to switch on a controller. My only problem with the combos themselves is the Gnashing Fang combo comes off of CD shortly after the GCD resets with the regular combo by like 2 seconds, so I have to stop mid Keen Edge combo and switch to that. I think it needs to flow a bit better, but it functions just fine on a controller.
My full set up looks like this and I'm okay with it and it's not any hard to play with. You can try as well, probably it would work for you.
You don't even need to remove any buttons, as you can see, the only on 3d page is Strength bottle which you don't use often anyway. GNB has more skills than other jobs in average, but I can't say his actually over bloated, it's not that bad.
Actually you can move while using it. I just did the 77 dungeon and the last boss makes you move with his aoe spam. And I used the combo without fail or breaks while moving in a circle to get away from the aoe. So you're wrong on that. with my seyup you can very well move easily. Try it before you throw it out. I promise you it works.
At least it isn't on the far other side of the spectrum like wow is
arcane mage is literally a 2 button spec, so damn boring
There's nothing wrong with Continuation the way it is. If you really want to de-bloat on GNB it would be the Gnashing Fang combo itself that should be adjusted, not Continuation. As it is right now, you can only execute the GF combo in a strict 1-2-3 sequence. The other buttons aren't even active/able to be pressed except during their specific window in the GF combo. As such, it would make perfect sense to combine the three of them into a single button that changes as the combo progresses (like PVP combos). Since there is no way to even press the combo in the wrong order, there really isn't much downside to doing this.Sure but Gnashing Fang could just turn into Jugular Rip, instead of having the extra button. This would preserve the flavor/feeling of Continuation being like the 'trigger pull' action of playing gunblade in FFXIV (where you are just pulling the one trigger while doing different things), while also reducing MORE buttons than simply baking Continuation into each particular Gnashing Fang combo button. (4 -> 2 vs. 4 -> 3).
