I think that societies are extremely different on the first. It's possible that on the First we might find male viera NPCs because they are traveling merchants or somethingI feel bad for reading that and immediately thinking it would be hilarious if we find out the the nu mou are the male versions of viera/viis.
I re-watched the video I mentioned and counted 8 mystel men and 6 mystel women including 2 little girls. The mystel have a completely different naming convention than the miqo'te of the Source and unless men just have a higher representation, it looks like they have a 50/50 gender distribution and therefore slightly biologically more different. There seem to be more female drahn running around than the men but I don't think there's anything to read into with that but it's neat that they're present here when in our world they're from the other side of the globe.
I just stumbled upon this image (can't find source sadly, if u find it lemem know plz) I quite like this androgynous look, and I think it would be nice if we could have at least 1 face be like that
I honestly dont know about one single big topic that was negative or mixed on the forum that did not show it in the game too, or that wasnt changed because of it (which kinda hints that they feared that it could negatively impact the game). In the end Yoshida himself waited for our responses for things like the "greed only" change which shows that they do care about the forum. (IMO they still have a bit of a communication problem)
Of course I would be accepting of that, why shouldnt I? (Telling only about myself since I dont want to speak for others) But since they could not promise us anything, why should we or I stop? If we had stop talking about certain things like bunny suits for men after they talked about this we probably would have never gotten it, because they might have believed/hoped that we dont care anymore, the same with egi glamours. So I see no harm in posting in that one thread about this, even if its talking in circles (nobody is hurt by this existance and could just ignore it) In the end we dont know what the issue truly was and maybe constant feedback and talk will make the higher ups change their minds faster.Just genuinely curious. If Yoshida/GMs tells you soon that VieraMale and Hrothgar Females will be added with 6.0 Expansion. Will you be accepting about that and let the thread die, or will you keep going on about this issue?
As I myself have come to accept they probably will add them in the next expansion personally as the Devs clearly has shown that they know you all want these race/genders. It just sounds like you do not, and are like myself when I was a kid and kept begging my parents for X or Y until they caved and gave in.
This is just how I personally view you guys who think making demands are like. Kids, impatient, entitled, demanding, self centered etc.
I want you all to get the stuff you guys want dont get me wrong. I just have different ways of looking on things and accept what I have/get.
I myself have quite a list of changes and additions I would love to see ingame, but I also know there is a thing called time and how much someone can actually do within that timespace. Not many MMOs comes out with several races and classes pr expansions. Usually it is 1 new race, or 1 new class.
And if I am a kid, entitled or impatient for this then I dont care. I pay money to play this game, thus I have the right to ask for stuff. Do the devs have to answer that? No! (Its not like most of us dont know that..) But there comes a point where I do ask: Is the money still worth it? Are they doing too much against my view on the game? And if yes then I will take it elsewhere. Of course they still cant care and maybe I would even be in the minority and that is fine. But again, we all have the right to at least ask for it. The time is over for devs to be able to do anything without consequences. We thankfully live in a world where we can say whats on our mind (in a respectful way) and where the consumer does have some power.
In the end Yoshida himself has stated that a critic is worth more than a compliment, because then they know what they have done wrong and can change. They dont want people to go silently because if too many go then the game might die down and I at least get the feeling that the team does care in their ways for the game.
Just remember that maybe one day you will have your own topic or thing that you want to change. I believe you would not want to have people coming into your thread calling you a kid or entitled for it.
I honestly only want them to be NPCs if they are 100% added as a playable character, because if not then their inclusion as 100% NPC only would hurt me at least a lot more than never seeing them. It would be like delicious carrot on the stick but you know that you wont reach it but get hungry anyway. So I have a theory, I’ve mentioned it before and it COULD happen but then it couldn’t. So during ShB yoship states we will know that male viera exist due to npcs mentioning them. I wonder if we will get more in depth about their appearance. We might find out if they are taller than females, body type, the fur patch, proportions, etc. I’m hoping during this we will get some hints on if they are confirmed or not. I know I’m probably over exaggerating but why would they make more lore, even change the lore on male viera if they weren’t going to be added? Unless it’s just the same thing the dramaturge said.
In the end the visit to the other shard could give them at least a big reason for showing of much more of such NPCs because they dont need that restriction there. Maybe on the first they reproduced equally for each gender and do not need to protect any woods.

Yoshi specifically stated in the Letter from the Producer that "you won't meet any in person" so I wouldn't get your hopes up.
I think it's quite unlikely that we find any on 5.0, but on 5.1-5.5 we might see male viera NPCs, or maybe even some tease for 6.0 a le Fran o le Yugiri
I even find 5.1-3 very unlikely due to how time and cost intensive developing a model is. Even Fran didn't show up until 5.5 and they already had a base for her model from XII:TZA. If they were to show a male Viera (although my money's on teasing a female Hrothgar) earlier, I'd guess it'd be closer to how Yugiri got introduced: as a modified skeleton from another race but fully covered in cloth/armor. We may even be introduced to the Hroth Queen this way, with a veil covering her head.
Ok so my theory, which is in no way confirmed, is that we will see the hrotgar queen during 5.1-5.5 many times, all of them she will be covered by a veil that dosen't allow us to see much of her and she will be escorted by male hrotgar. Then, in 5.3-5.5 we will see a full male viera NPC that will probably play an important MSQ role. Then, they will be released on 6.0, and both the hrotgar queen and male vieras in general will play a key role in 6.x's story with Garlemand, and there will be a male viera 'scion' level of screentime NPC (kinda like Yugiri) plus the Hrotgar queen will be a major characterI even find 5.1-3 very unlikely due to how time and cost intensive developing a model is. That'd be cool. I don't think it's very likely, but it'd be cool.Ok so my theory, which is in no way confirmed, is that we will see the hrotgar queen during 5.1-5.5 many times, all of them she will be covered by a veil that dosen't allow us to see much of her and she will be escorted by male hrotgar. just best to be patient and not set expectations to something crazy
since male viera wasn't even on the table they will be prioritizing all of ShB stuff right now and when they start planning for next expansion they will see
I personally think that male viera and female hrotgar is something they likely knew players were gonna demand, and perhaps knew they were gonna have to make them for 6.0, so while this isn't any sort of confirmed thing, I do think it's quite likely they might have started planning them/working on them
