Male Viera as a playable character! show your support

This would be wonderful! I was very excited to have the male viera so i was pretty disappointed when they were not announced and the viera were genderlocked. I think if the male viera were released that many people would be very happy and draw more people to the game! I know a lot of people are going to use or have already been using mods on the prexisting races so that they can have male viera avatars. +1 for male viera!

Really disappointed by the gender locked races. Hated it in XI and I hate it here. Very surprised it even came up as an option since it wasn't all that popular in XI.
I was really looking forward to Male Viera. I love the concept posted by the OP and would have loved to see them realized in game. We don't really need more uber masculine male models and we already have cat boys.
I know it is a lot of work, and I would gladly wait for a new race if it meant both male and female Viera.
We can totally find a lore reason for a male viera to be the WoL (I know RP it is hard to reason away), but you can totally do so if you think of yourself as the only WoL.
SE, please, please reconsider.

I feel very sad for everyone who wanted to change race to male Viera with the upcoming expansion. Hopefully they reconsider theire desicion and add female Hrothgar as well as male Viera in the future. There is absolutely no lore reason to refrain from adding them to the playable races since we already have male Miqo'te and Duskwight Elezen which live very isolated from the rest of the world and are very rare in numbers.

Although i dont have plans to play a male Viera, I think that males should be added because it give people more options to the players of FF14. For me, i was a big fan of FF11 but always wanted to play a male Mithra. While i never got to play FF14 in 1.0, i was sad to hear that males were still unplayable because of lore reasons, males are super rare in lore. When i heard that FF14 was relaunching with male Miqote, i jumped at the chance to give FF14 a try. After getting a taste of FF14 2.0 beta, i fell in love with the game and have been playing it since. I think male Viera should be added because it can draw more people to the game, but also because i want them to experience the same joy i did.

Many of my friends were showing hope for Male Viera, and while they've come to accept that it might not be a possibility, there just as many more players who would be thrilled to see them introduced. Even if they come in at a later point in the game, when the resources can be allocated, I think that would be a fine thing to do. Please, consider making Male Viera.

Also to say you won't do something again and then to go back and do it anyways after hyping the community up is a pretty low blow
(and is the reason so many have left the titan in the industry that is wow, to play other games including this one)
