I personally don't understand where the "they are supposed to be elegant" thing comes from given the lore of the males in this game. I obviously don't think they are bruttish bodybuilders. But something about "kill first, ask questions later; No trespassers, no outsiders" just doesn't mix well with elegance in my mind. If anything I see them more Tarzan-alike with anime hair.

It's because Yoshida described them as such in an interview.

"If we did create a male design for the Viera, he would be quite elegant, handsome, and slim. He would look more like the Elezen race, but with bunny ears."

I'd like to see new concept art, too. I mean, I like the ones we have already. Both the 3 male viera standing in a row, and the one that displays the chest fur.

They really don't look like that, aside from the skin color. We all know we will have the option to change skin tones.

I don't want something like in that signature. Nothing about it conveys viera's elegance, their mysteriousness, or the magical/fantasy woodland aspect of this race to me.

Where did you even get this idea? LOL
The concept art seems to just be a sketch really. I adjusted the position of the shoulder and it looks fine to me

Disagreed. They will most likely look like the concept art, not like your signature which is much more bulky.

That makes sense. Still I think it's a weird choice of words for a race in which the males are basically "doomed" to life of hardship, intensive training that often might lead to death and protection of an entire colony of females from invaders. The elezen part I can totally see, because Au Ra have some elezen-esque features as well. Even elves for the most part are only seen as elegance because of the snobish attitude and because most of em are associated with royalty and ancient sacred magics.
