I feel like your tank analogy is still too nice. It’s basically like tanks having a full toolkit of skills that serve no other purpose than to increase enmity (no dps) and a full kit of mitigation for themselves and party. The combination of which represents at most 20% of their time.
Then are given 1 or 2 dps skills and a single dot and told to be happy and that if they wanted to dps they should go red.
