Thread: Request: Please let WHM Keep Aero III.

Just want to throw this out there but could the dev team please reconsider the removal of Aero III. Its one of the much more convenient and helpful DPS abilities of WHM expecially on pack mob pulls and and far less stressful than applying a dot to every mob individually. I know plenty of people not happy about this change but as its still 4 weeks till shadowbringers theres more than enough time to reverse this as it would require minimal work to redo this.

I also think that the Afflatus-skills should be moved off the GCD and instead recieve a short CD or 15 - 20 seconds or so. That way, you can still comfortably spend your lilies while not being able to spam them, and Misery wouldn't be a DPS-loss at worst or an incomplete DPS-preservation attempt for when you have to heal. If they do that, they also either lower the potency a bit, or keep it that way to further emphasize WHM's apparent new identity (for the second time... hopefully this time they actually let us keep it for once) as the healer with the highest DPS. Heck, it would even help with our weaving-issues...

And Aero 3 is something about nature which WHM always had, even though Yoshida wants to cut the classes from the jobs, WHM is also full of nature in the storyline. Just look at Gridania at all.
They should really reconsider this, this thread is about Aero 3, but I would also say about the other healers, they should really reconsider the changes especially about the DPS kits...
And maybe some Utility for WHM.

I wish the animation was kept in the game in some way. The particle and staff twirl are just too good to go away.

Personally i am sad Aero 3 gets removed, but i understand the devs wanting to put whm back into their holy setting. Hope there will be something we get back at 6.0 or so..

We are probably getting Devine Seal aka Largesse aka Temperance removed and given back in some way, but at a far higher level and nerfed yet again. Or Stoneskin aka Divine Benison. Wouldn't count on Aero III, as sad as that is.

I dont see stoneskin coming back at all to be honest. Well this is all subject to change and if we were not part of the media tour / E3 tour then lets wait till early access hits to see how it plays. I bet it plays good once we figured it out. Just like stormblood went with it.

I am sure the devs HAD something in mind while doing this. I wonder how the afflatus spells will play out.

It's so stupid to not bring back Stoneskin II at least.
Yoshida said he wanted to do something about pure & shield healers.
So why AST and SCH are getting more healing and barrier actions when WHM keep getting only healing actions ?
Does he know that both mitigation abilities and barrier skills are really important for Trial, Raid, Ultimate ?
How can you have all trio equitable : WHM/SCH, WHM/AST, AST/SCH, if one of the job doesn't do what the other do ?
Same about raid buff/utility, and to move/use oGCD after a dps spell, those thing that WHM still doesn't have.

You are getting Aero 3s missing damage back with Afflatus misery.
