Please make Blue Mage a normal job

There already is a standard tool kit in BLU. Nearly half of its spells are completely useless in actual non-open world content with another quarter of them being 130 pot reskins. Realistically, they need to nerf Peculiar Light (maybe White Wind?) a tad and suddenly you have a completely functioning support DPS that could (in theory) make caster comps better.

SE could as easily made BLU the first Advanced job but instead put some fairly arbitrary restrictions on it.

Also a daily reminder that BLU is not and never will be a viable replacement for a tank or healer.

If you play it optimal then yes they have a core set, as I mentioned I just mess around with friends using far from optimal skill selection. I do not view it as a job, for me it is just side content as I do not even care what they call it. You are right it is not be a viable replacement for a tank or healer but it can be done, and running full BLU groups with friends for me as been some of the most fun I have had playing FFXIV. I would not unsub or anything if they took that away, but it would suck.

Please do not misunderstand BLU can be balanced with both aspects in mind, but I do not have faith in the current combat team to do so.
