I hope they're avalible as male. i'd feel like a creep playing as a bunnygirl and i'm not even a guy.

My main concern is that the second batch of MSQ's aren't due until after the Tokyo Fan Fest. So we might still be left in the dark in regards to what is coming next to prevent spoilers.Definitely a possibility, but I'm definitely trying to keep my hype in check. Definitely more likely to get less than more. I was looking at the JP fanfest schedule, their keynote has 1.5 hours. Considering EU and NA keynotes had that much between Yoshi AND Koji translating + opening ceremonies... that leaves a looot of time for new reveals. But again... trying to temper expectations.
I hate being as impatient as I am. I sometimes find myself just sitting around going like:

If we don't get male Viera, you guys better be prepared for the influx of gay men masquerading as glamorous bunny girls. :v Don't get catfished.
The 3rd fanfest was where they dropped the larger spoiler bombs for stormblood (we didn't know were heading East until the final trailer was released!) last time around so I'd be surprised if they rented out an incredibly massive venue only to pull punches.

Either in the form of male Viera or Lion people, we are getting a male counterpart.
Curious if the Lion race ends up being the male Viera to begin with.
Yeah. . . I feel worse they might put it in as a cliff hanger for the event, and then a slightly more detailed one at the end of stormblood MSQ. . Lol /cry
While they'll go into more detail at one of the latest presentations (near the full combat breakdown presentation time), then only we can step off the rollercoaster that is this ride XD.
The benchmark is usually 2 months away from launch right? So they could have a presentation prepared around late April early May with the new race (assuming true) with the release of the benchmark.
I remember in WoW I had a friend that would dress down a female night elf and beg for gold (back when buying your first mount was a huge achievement) . . . . annoyingly he was able to get his mount before me because he farmed the people with that night elf dance and god knows what else lol. Meanwhile I was earning me pet the slow way >.>.

Hmm so when I was thinking there would be 'two different races' that are gender locked, it would be two different options to select from (Like Selecting Miqote or Hyur). However, it just dawned on me that what htey may end up doing is putting two races into one category and gender lock that way. So when you create/phantasia your character, its not Viera as one and Hrothgar as another, but both of them are part of some category (Lets call it Fuzzy People for clarity). So you select Fuzzy people and within that you have male Hrothgar, and Female Viera. Two races in one category.
If they did that, (and that might be something they would do) you can kiss any chance at Male Viera or Female Hrothgar good bye.
I was checking youtube videos about if worth playing bdo or tera in 2019, most of the comments were "gender locked races, i will pass", some were even using ffxiv as example of a game that does not have that problem XD It would be funny if not sad.
