The Orbonne Monastery is in the Golmore Jungle. That said, we've had places with two names before. The Black Shroud is also called the Twelveswood for instance. It also could be that the Rak'Tika Greatwood is a specific region of the Golmore Jungle.
Yeah sorry I was making that assumption that the Rak'Tika Greatwood is the name inhabitants have for what outsiders call the Golmore Jungle.
True it could be just a specific region so if it saves farther confusion I'll go back an edit it to
Rak'Tika Greatwood ("near where" the Orbonne Monastery is located)
if that helps?
I guess the answer to that question would be to look at buildings in Australia over time.Well I'm talking more philosophical than the obvious. It's not just some structure that is going to have the base conclusion of how something should be built. I'm referring to people existing on said shards building what they will build. Just because they were separated from the source, I was posing will people make wildly different decisions due to their long time of separation or is it likely they just repeat destiny with some minor variances? Some of which because of how light and dark are distributed across shards, I can see some changes but,
When Europeans Initially colonised they build buildings like those found back at home ignoring the fact it was a different climate. Over time building design developed to suit the climate there.
yes the implication is that the 1st shard is the most similar shard to the source at the time of HW.
What I'm trying to getting at is Il Mheg isn't just a "zone". People focusing to hard on just what they see in the area we were given a guided tour of in fanfest and ignoring the hole of Il Mheg we where given in the keynotes. It was broken up throughout the keynotes I guess.
Il Mheg - The Pixies - Titania
Are all tied up as one bundle. A zone "Il Mheg" the denizens of are "The Pixies" whos regent/?primal? is "Titania".
the middle The pixies had four points to them ;
-Reside in Il Mheg
-Proficient in the Arcane Arts
-Tricksters
-Speak a unique language known as "FAE"
These Pixies aren't just your average "beast tribe". The last point being the biggest to point that out . Adding another language seems like a huge undertaking for "just" another beast tribe. It also puts the Pixies on par with Dragons in regard to time invested in their creation. From that it seems liking the ShB expansion will revolve heavily around the Pixies like HW did for Dragons.
Well the Sylphs also have their language. Just sayin
Sylphs talk in the common tongue spoken in Eorzea its just they just speak it with out personal pronouns, it's not a different language.
not a different language like dragon where this " ko[h]l ool a[n] t[h]arl " means something
It would be funny if Sylphs started speaking the FAE too tho.
That dose remind me there is their chosen one that sprouts from their beast quests but nothing more came of it. even tho the chosen one was meant to be incredibly powerful. It would be funny it the chosen one was a pixielol.
I think Balipu refers to the language used in the first part of Ramuh's theme.Sylphs talk in the common tongue spoken in Eorzea its just they just speak it with out personal pronouns, it's not a different language.

We don't know it's from the Warrior of Darkness. Some people think so, but there's no guarantee - and it's implied that they will likely die upon returning to their home shard at the end of 3.4.
We're still not sure it's nearby. We know it's "somewhere", and apparently Viera live in it.Yeah sorry I was making that assumption that the Rak'Tika Greatwood is the name inhabitants have for what outsiders call the Golmore Jungle.

We also know from the Wandering Dramaturge that other Viera live in the foothills of the Skatay Range to the north of Dalmasca.
Rak'tika could be there, or it could be somewhere else entirely. It's best not to make statements like the location is a fact, until we know for sure.
We only see them speaking Common, but they do have their own language. It's used for some of the lyrics in Ramuh's theme.
Ah ok well if they made a full language for that it was really really under used. Also quite a waste of assets.
So apologies Balipu fair point then
I agree they are likely dead but death isn't to much of a problem if they are using the Ascians trick but with cyrstals of light.

I said "Two of the zones shown so far feel like they are from southern Othard so far." I said Feel like not passed it as fact.
Don't know if another have noticed it, but in the presentation of the Viera, the place and the theme is Eruyt Village.
So, it's another place to add to those we know.
That's what they were using to travel to the Source, and what we collectively use to warp to the aetherial sea where we see Minfilia again, and they depart for the First... but the crystals' power is almost spent - and again, it's implied that by returning to their own world, in which they physically died and then 'escaped' to the Source, they are returning to that reality where they have died and will complete the natural process of returning to the Lifestream.
