Gender locked race?

I don't "know" french, but that's used to show gender of something. So you can tell if it's male or female, and it appears we have both male and female connections for this new info and for Viera.

Although just be careful because they may be using some other script for male/female details, such that it works on a separate system - Roda is already trying to sue me for all my chocobo feed, don't encourage them .

If I'm not mistaken, for females in French the words end with an extra E? Maybe I'm thinking of something else but regardless this pretty much tells us that Viera aren't the only new race to be added. Since this is a glitch but we don't know what level this error occurred at, I agree that it's still not definite proof that both genders are available.

Though, if a race only has one gender, why would anyone bother going into the code and writing a version for males and females? Not sure if that's how it really works but who knows...

The female word for gentil in french is "gentille"

It seems to be hitting checks on race. Try the tarot card readers for Valentione's day.

Note that the player got this dialogue from Rowena during the MSQ (Mask of Grief) and the NPC who unlocks Steps of Faith.

In English, Rowena and Marcelain call you an adventurer.

Icarus Twine on the subreddit's discord has proven this to be true (through datamining of the French version), for anyone doubting. The code for Hrothgar is there, as well as Viera, and a la and le variant for each.

I wouldn't put too much weight on the gender thing. They may just have put it in to cover all their bases. Considering it will never trigger if they only add one gender anyway, it ultimately makes no difference.
