This seems like a strange addition to add into the game. Consider Aura, they didnt go back and edit in Aura into the class quests lines. Its a weird place to insert lore; most of your player base wont see that tidbit.

If it's modded game files, don't do it - at least if you knew it was modification of the game. If it's photoshop (and not content that might be age questionable) then yeah it's fine. Although you might get in trouble if you just start image dumping and not talking lol. Also consider if people's names show up if it's in game (name tags), depending on circumstance people might claim you were calling them out.. So maybe blur our character names unless it's abundantly clear it's not a call out. Artist's signatures don't count, I just mean don't be like "this Viera is awful" and there is some person's name above it from the in game screen grab lol.
The above is probably overly sensitive but safe is good.
Comparing two archives, also some people would probably make change logs to search through later (big lists of things that were touched, very big lists).
I've been wondering if they're going to revisit some 1.0/2.0 areas. There is more of Coerthas.. And the restoration of Ishgard is something that is considered to be happening through 5.0. Then it would not be so weird to have dialog fixed up for a race to be in those areas.
Maybe SE is making the game a little bit more "immersive" when it comes to your race of choice and some NPCs might acknowledge that. It might even be a way of them saying "Hey, you, come check the New Game+ feature we're adding this expansion because now you might have some race specific interactions on it as well".
That or they might do something similar to how beast tribes progress work. As in: The map looks different based off your reputation with said beast tribe, and it doesn't conflict with the "immersion" of someone else's progress.
So maybe based off your progess on the mainstory, we might finally see Au Ra, Hrothgar and Viera NPCs interacting to the other races on areas introduced prior to their release.

Demonstrably false. I really wish this lie would stop being repeated so much.
Typically things don't make it to the localization phase just to be cut. Especially something like a player race which needs a ton of work on the art and animations asset side. You wouldn't get to the stage where the localization team needs to start putting not just the race's name but also descriptors such as noticeable features. Also now that I think about hrothgar, they might be a dead race. That is, this was somethign they were planning on implementing and possibly canceled on relatively recently due to other limitations or time. We may not get a race beyond Viera, but old code was put into place regarding it.
I'm allowed to speak my opinions and engage in dialogue on a public forum. Not once have I said anyone couldn't or shouldn't speak their mind here, nor have I told anyone to stop advocating for what they want.
If you'd prefer an echo chamber there's plenty of places and sites that would accommodate you. I pay my sub like everyone else here, I have just as much right to voice my opinion as anyone else does.

Eh~ I mean most of us are done with those questsbut I'm sure the team is hoping that we're not the only players they'll ever have
.
As for such an obscure thing could be in.. It could simply be they had a bunch of files and things they were working on and simply merged a few wrong things together. One day they were working on 5.0 stuff and the next someone was like "fix this, add that now" and they worked on the wrong set of files and put them into the game. Sometimes its just on purpose too, WoW did it a lot and FFXIV itself has done it with RDM and SAM.
So I think, going back makes sense because of new players and why it's such a weird location would be because there are not many places in the game that describe your looks (iirc) and we're not having the whole chunk of work added yet.
Male viera seems kind of unlikely to me at this point.
It could possibly go this way; we get a tall variant of viera that is female only (the ones we saw in the trailer), and the variant that look like "young elezen" will have males and females. Additionally, we'll get a lion race - probably gender locked to males.
If we are getting a shorter variant of viera, the males and females could look kind of similar... If they actually did go out of their way to make a shorter variant of viera, and if the males and females look similar, then that wouldn't be an extraordinary amount of extra work to create males. It'd still be extra work with the animations and all, but if they look similar, why not use those assets for males, too? This is just wishful thinking, though. It's unlikely we'll see male viera. Very unfortunate. I'd love to be wrong.

That's a strange argument your have there.
I mean, roe weren't the only gender locked people.
Sure, us femroe as next to invisible and will only become more so with any new tall female race ( as a femroe for years I'm jumping on that bunny train as soon as it comes to the station) ... But cat bois are hella popular and I see female highlands all the time. These are also groups that were gender locked.
And at this point the team should know that if they genderlock people will just demand the genders be unlocked until they are.
So imo if they fear another femroe level of visibility of any new race's gender they would be better off trying to rethink their approach on how they design these races instead of just accepting that a gender might be too nitch to warrant development.
Anyway, I still don't really care ... I got my bunny and that's all I wanted. If they give me tall pretty cat girls I'd diff flip flop between them but it's not something that would disappoint me.
I just think it would be a huge mistake to go back to gender locking because regardless of how many people will actually play ... Most everyone's gonna complain about it and dream up what they think the gender should look like.
EDIT- I also find it odd how no one ever points out the dimorphism in Roe. They don't really look like the GO together at all to me. The RoeBros are tall, meaty, wide walking walls ... IMO if I were designing the Femroes based on that I would make them tall, meaty and curvy. They would look like Christina Hendricks, look as visibly feminine as the males look masculine while also being wider than any race and tall. What we got makes us look like Gym instructors and many animations don't have a clear persona behind them. You got some big goofy girl animations. You got ... stud(?) poses. You got overly-trying-to-be cute animations. You got like 1 imposing pose.
But that's just me I guess. When I look at the races everything lines up outside out the Roe and Scaley Folks.
