Though honestly, what they need to do is just convert it to an epic-scale solo instance. Given the Trust system incoming in 5.0, I am very much hoping this is their plan for it in the end. It'd save the experience for new players while also not forcing everyone who has finished this content to sit staring at long, slow-playing cutscenes instead of playing the actual game.
Where does the "not forcing everyone who has finished this content to sit staring at long, slow-playing cutscenes" part come in? As far as I can see, the change to those who view the dungeons that way would be to go from not running them because you don't like them to not running them because they don't exist (at least not as repeatable dungeons). I don't see any real change there.

Whereas to those of us who do like them as they currently are, the change would be to go from running them the way we like to not running them because they don't exist. The people who would see a real difference is those who would be losing out on something we want to be doing.

If the solo instances were repeatable the way dungeons are (though no current solo instances are) that would help some of us who want to run them to re-watch the story climax (which is pretty epic now that we can do it in full). But it would still disappoint those who like the current MSQ roulette for its nice rewards. Roulettes exist to ensure parties can form. They don't apply to solo instances. So even turning these two dungeons into repeatable solo instances would mean the MSQ roulette would be eliminated from the game, and its rewards would go with it.
