SE: Can we get back skip cutscene in Main Scenarios?

They're really not. It's probably the most inefficient way of leveling in the game outside of trying to grind on regular overworld mobs. And the tomes are useless unless you're doing relics.

It's cool you don't mind watching all the cutscenes, but let's not pretend it's actually worth running.

I don't know what you're expecting then. Next to no input for anywhere from half to a full level at any level? For me, it's the go to option for getting past those 50 to 51 and 60 to 61 slogs on alt jobs before I can run dungeons. The tomes are also useful when you have multiple relics running or need some desynth fodder.

The cost is fine for what it does. If you don't like it, there's a myraid of other content to run to get your fix

For the time spent per xp/tomes earned, it's not efficient.

For the amount of actual effort you have to put into it (it's like 10-15 minutes of fighting and running about, the rest just sitting back and chilling and chatting)? Totally worth running.

Of course, if you're the type that only values something like this based on such droll thing as efficiency compared to other sources, maybe the MSQ roulette just isn't for you?

There's no reason to apply this to other MSQ dungeons because no other MSQ dungeon (or any instance at all after that point) suffer from this. Even the cutscenes mid-raids aren't that bad, all the more-so with the instant teleportation into the battle areas they recently added.
If it's not broken, don't fix it.

I'd think that those dungeons would be one of the better things you could roll in mentor roulette. Better that than trying to teach people Titan EX or Mog EX synced

No, the best thing you can roll is a guildhest or story trial, because they're quick. These dungeons are anything but.


As for things like Titan EX, I give it one or two goes; if the party doesn't show any promise whatsoever, I just leave. CM/Prae though, I leave immediately. I didn't sign up for forced cutscenes.

You really should not be running that roulette if you are not willing to do duties that take time.

Alas, I want the rewards that only come from doing the roulette. If it weren't for these things, I would happily ignore the roulette unless I was feeling bored.

Practically everyone doing any roulette is not doing it out of the kindness of their hearts, but rather for the rewards that they offer, and everyone also has their own limits as to how much they'll tolerate in terms of time expenditure and DF stupidity. I am no different in either of these regards. If I end up getting something where these limits are exceeded (or where I know they *will* be exceeded, such as when CM/Prae shows up, or yet another EX primal party where it's clear half the party went in blind + has no idea what to do + almost never listens to any directions you try to give anyway), it's well within my rights to choose to leave and eat the 30 minute penalty.

Mentors are not doormats; they're people too and they also value their time, just like you.

I think I can dictate for myself what is worth my time and what isn't without your sage guidance, thanks.
