Isn't the same with any game? There is always only one or two sets of high powered stuff compared to the others, which makes elitists cry.
You know what? 5/5 of the current content is worth doing.

LOL cash shop! SE's way to tell their player how they appreciate them... pull the carrot and empty your pockets $$$
And to those who support it: you are kicking yourselves. -- We just need to sit back and laugh at people with cash shop items.

Hmm, really? Please explain why threads like these exist then..

Nobody should have to make a thread just to get people to do content.
Don't kid yourself. Even Yoshida himself understands that there has to be a reward for doing content. According to him, it's one of the main reasons we don't have a card game yet.
having a reward is one thing and all content comes with a reward, but if its not the best, its not worth playing (so i hear), and not everything can be the bestHmm, really? Please explain why threads like these exist then..

What I have shown you is reality. What you remember, that is the illusion.
which by the time 2.0 comes out there will probally be, or (will have been) as i have pointed out already, new content makes old gear obsolete. if you only play dungeons because you want the loot then all new content will only keep you happy for a for a few weeks at most, where as if you go through a dungeon because you like to interact and play with others the enjoyment will last longer.
test for ya. in 1.21 we get 2 new dungeons and hamlet defence, after tha you tell me how long before you got the drops you wanted and you are bored again?
your way of looking at a dungeon is making it impossible for you to ever be happy with the content they release

I'm really not concerned about myself. I'm not that self centered. I know that I'll finish content well before new content comes out, regardless of the reward value.which by the time 2.0 comes out there will probally be, or (will have been) as i have pointed out already, new content makes old gear obsolete. if you only play dungeons because you want the loot then all new content will only keep you happy for a for a few weeks at most, where as if you go through a dungeon because you like to interact and play with others the enjoyment will last longer.

It's more about new players just getting into endgame that I'm concerned about. And since this game will be going P2P soon, paying customers shouldn't have to struggle to get help with content they're paying for. Not everyone plays for the same reasons. In my experience, for every person that does content for the experience, there are 10 who do it for the loot. That creates a big problem for the former group of people.
there is endgame for new players to play if they go out with the idea that only 2 of it is worth doing because of the loot, then it is them that is cutting themself off the content that exists, i understand what you say about forming parties but the new player search is being implemented in 1.20 so really should wait and see how that changes finding a partyI'm really not concerned about myself. I happen to have done Dzemeal yesterday evening, it was my first time and it was really fun (especially when mistakes happen). I didn't got any godlike loot and that was not why I wanted to do Dzemeal. The best reward is doing the content itself, not the shiny thing that will become obsolete after two months.Hmm, really? Of course it is always great to have a nice piece of equipment or weapon at the end of it, but that's only 30% of my fun at best.
It is a game, for entertainment. The best entertainment is doing the content, not having something in my inventory.

That's good to hear that you were lucky enough to find people to do it. However, not everyone is so lucky.I happen to have done Dzemeal yesterday evening, it was my first time and it was really fun (especially when mistakes happen). On Fabul it's commonplace to see multiple Ifrit shouts, plus exp/sb shouts, and even a few Sentinel gear shouts (notice I just listed sentinel gear, not any others).
But for Darkhold? It's extremely rare. And when someone does shout for it, it rarely fills up with 8/8, which leads to people having to make threads just to get a party to do it with. Notice that he, like you, seems to only want to do it for the personal achievement, which is fine. But not everyone plays for the same reasons, and now this person is having a very difficult time getting a group for it because others don't play for the same reasons that he does.
I'd bet you any amount of gil that if the drops were worth the effort (risk vs reward) that he would likely have no problem setting up a group for this. But of course, this isn't the case.
As I stated in my first post in this thread. New players who finally got their first 50 are getting left out of experiencing all that the game has to offer. He's likely been looking forward to doing this well before he hit lv50, but now is having a very hard time getting people for it.
If you ask me, old content should only be made obsolete when the level cap gets raised, not each time new content comes out. I feel bad for those who haven't even attempted Ifrit yet, because they'll likely have the same trouble of finding a group once Moogle weapons are released. If history is any lesson, Moogle weapons will make Ifrit weapons obsolete, just like Ifrit made DH obsolete.
