Oof, imagine what you could have done in that time, could have teleported to Rhalgr's Reach and walked over to the tome vendor by the time you finish the boss, if only those pesky cutscene watchers weren't there!

I don't really understand these posts. If the value of the cutscenes is only a "whole minute," then it honestly doesn't sound like people are missing out on much if they skip them.

The opposite is also true: it's hardly going to screw up your day over skipping cutscenes. And honestly it sounds like your friend is the ridiculous one when it comes to watching cutscenes if they quit the game over being kicked once for watching cutscenes. Reminds me of the posts of people quitting the game just because they couldn't get a house in Shirogane.

Don't get me wrong, I don't think people should be pressured into skipping cutscenes, but honestly the only content in which this apparently was a problem is with the msq roulette dungeons (and I say "apparently" because, in all of my runs of those two dungeons, I have never seen anyone be kicked for watching cutscenes there), and it's no longer a problem. If anyone is being pressured to skip cutscenes it sounds like a case of some random on the internet being a douchebag. And I highly doubt a discussion on the morals of watching cutscenes is going to stop random people on the internet from being douchebags anytime soon.
