I am not dismissing it, I am disagreeing with it. I said what the real reason behind the cap is. They give so little content to us, that is not sustainable on its own. So to keep people subbed they have these strict time gates that does not let you gear more then one job. As far as MNO's doing the same thing, sorry I do not know of any other MNO that keeps copy/patse and reskinning the same content over and over again to he degree FFXIV does it. Also as expected:

Like I said, people WILL GET TIRED of doing the same thing over and over and over again. Not only is it the same gearing system but all the fights and mechanics we seen before. We have all see the eye gaze thing, the yellow stack arrows, it is becoming easier and easier do things blind because it is the same thing pretty much, just given in a different order.
I get the reasoning behind the gating, they want people with less time to keep up, and again I counted that claim as well and again it gets ignored. What happens when they miss a day or a week? they are forever behind now. It does not give enough people with more time things to do, and it doesn't let people with less time to make it up when they miss a day or a week. It is not good for anyone, because if you miss that week? guess what? you can't meet that pf that requires the ilevel that assumes you never missed then, like my i270 example for HW that I had to run in time and time again when trying get lore/light parties. i had to join as blm, put some healer accessories on. tell them they are demanding too much by asking for that ilevel, turn it down to say 260 and if they wanted my 262 whm, no one.. no one rejected me. People just assumed oh everyone is i270 now so ill put that in the PF.
It is not good for the game, and causes more harm then good. I am beyond shocked people are supporting this, people are getting board, people are unsbuing for this reason.
You can''t time gate a game your whole life so you only give 2-3 dungeons per patch and call it enough content. If you do even a basic comparison of other MMOs on the market today, they all have built in mechanisms at the very start of a expansion to sustain its player base for a great period of time since its launch. When Blizzard launched Legion, players for weeks never once complained of having nothing to do.....but actually the polar opposite...people were actually complaining of having to much to do and THAT IS HOW MMOs ARE SUPPOSE TO BE DESIGNED!
