SAM out classing all other DPS

You know what? I now hope the nerf Sam, and that it becomes moot to bring one in high end raiding because it offers nothing and the other jobs are clear better choices. It would calm down all the people complaining about Sam being OP and start a new wave of "Sam needs help" threads.

This way we can see all the people who wanted Sam nerfed advocate to keep it where it would then be be. Would chase off all the number chasing people from the class and make sam useless. Then we would only have people who enjoyed the class playing it.

Plz need Sam into the ground SE, everyone else playing another job is upset that Sam beats them in personal numbers. Plz make it so that Sam no longer beats anybody, ever.

I don't actually think SAM should be nerfed at all, I just want SE to be more consistent in their reasoning. SAM doing more damage than other classes is fine but there should be a trade off, and the whole lack of utility argument is flawed.

So what trade off should Sam have then? I think people are just jealous and need to calm down.

Sam needs to be 2% above Drg with only slashing debuff and no other utility while being sorely behind non and Mnk. Sam also needs to have all it's combo buffs set to 10 seconds since 30 seconds is too long compared to other jobs.

Higanbana also neds to have its duration dropped from 1 minute to 17 seconds.

Hagakure should only ever consume half a Sen.

Meditate should only give you 20 kenki.

Midare should be matched to Mnks highest potency move before GL3 buffs are applied.

Guren should be nerfed to 400 potency.

Meikyo should be 3 minute cool down like PB.

Sam's regular potency moves should be weaker than drgs AND the should have no way to buff their damage still.

The moment the overlap a Sen, the Sam should damage itself with a move to commit suicide:seppuku

Increase the kenki costs of all kenki abilities by 20.

Any missed positional result in 75% damage reduction and a subtraction of kenki from your kenki bar. Make every move a positional that has the same stipulation!! Even the kenki abilities!

Please make these changes happen SE. These changes have to happen to quell the masses and kill the class!!!!

If you don't like people criticizing your class, then just stop reading the OF or posting here.

Might be laced with vitriol, but also some up a lot of the arguments in this thread against Sam while going more extreme. I added a couple but.. meh. People will never be happy, at least not everyone. The criticism doesn't bother me that much, what does bother me more is when people do not really look at the class and not really doing Fair comparisons. People tend to overexagerate their own problems, it's human nature. Yea, some classes need help, i.e. drg/mch/smh and possibly blm. What I constantly see though sums up as "i wanna deal raw dmg like Sam but I don't wanna play it".

Why not add a positional to every attack for Sam, turn it into mnk and make them loose potency and kenki? Then they loose something on 2 fronts since apparently Sam looses nothing else ever during the course of a fight in comparison to everyone else. (Which at It's base is not true, Nin looses even less than Sam and mnk can get back to where it was rather quickly even without PB.)
At that point, Sam then becomes the most punished class for missing a positional, and maybe people will stop complaining.

I don't care people think the class is easy or hard, or appears less punishing but people aren't looming at things equally when making comparisons to other classes and just throw things out there. At east thats what it seems like to me.

Edit: your most recent longer post is a good post and pointed out some good things that I agree with. Remember I said most people don't appear to make sound arguments and through our past quotes I have respected your opinions. J read the OFs mainly for fun, but when I see inaccurate I formation outside of numbers it tends to get under my skin (like most people) and I feel compelled to post to At least provide my viewpoint on why said information appears to be incorrect.
