Alright, thanks. So I was right. I was just confused for a moment because he included Ninja in losing resources, which I could swear didn't happen, and wanted to confirm. Haven't played Ninja since the expansion, so I wasn't 100% certain.Of course ninki doesn't degrade, just like chakra stacks and most other resources for other jobs except for self buffs. Speaking of buffs, SAM loses 2 that are very similar to greased lightning when taken together. The guy doesn't know what he's talking about, he probably didn't even unlock the job. And of course he doesn't know how NIN works at all since NIN is the melee job less affected by boss jumps.
NIN can lose huton but it's hardly an issue.

I mean, if we want to get technical... supposing slashing isn't up (which I know is an outlier considering war/nin exist and both I believe apply it quicker than sam does in their normal priority) after a jump phase, monk takes 9 gcds to have full GL and sam takes 8 gcds to have all theirs applied. on top of that, if both PB and Meikyo are available, monk will have theirs faster because sam does not use meikyo to get buffs, but rather to burst (in general). I'm not arguing for either side as I honestly feel I enjoy playing any job, but the difference in time from zero to full buffs is not very different between the two.

Almost 9 GCDs if we consider also applying the dot.I mean, if we want to get technical... supposing slashing isn't up (which I know is an outlier considering war/nin exist and both I believe apply it quicker than sam does in their normal priority) after a jump phase, monk takes 9 gcds to have full GL and sam takes 8 gcds to have all theirs applied. on top of that, if both PB and Meikyo are available, monk will have theirs faster because sam does not use meikyo to get buffs, but rather to burst (in general). Mnk applies everything and gets GL3 in 9 GCDs to include dots..

sure, but I'm talking purely about buffs. whether or not demo/higan is a thing doesn't matter in this example. but sure, if you want to include higan it IS 9 gcds.
edit: jesus i didn't realize how creepy my character looks on the forums til just now.
The numbers that are coming out of FFlogs are changing constantly. we can get a general idea of what classes are falling behind because of large discrepancies, but calling for nerfs already is foolish.
Would have also hoped for a meta with 3 casters, "parallel / as alternative" to the physical meta we've had for a while.I do agree that caster heavy comps need limelight for once as the meta has always been either 3/4 or 4/4 physical. I was really hoping for a caster meta and Melee meta .. thats what you get when you focus on physical damage (Real talk, why is embolden and brotherhood only physical damage?? It's honestly like they want it to be 3/4 physical.)
Also don't get why embolden has to buff only physical dps.
Laughable at the blm U-hearts issue and dps compared to Rdm.., and ofc compared to Sam, as it"s "no- or little-dps utility" dps twin.
Blm can barely get into serious pfs or raid statics, ... same problem as in 3.5, but now even worse. The other classes are too OP.. or synergies too well together (again physical buffs).
It's also important to remember interim damage. Without any buffs, a Monk is hitting as if they hadBrink of Death with all of their buffs. Classically a Monk needs time to get that top DPS spot. A Sam is hitting hard a fair bit earlier in it's rotation than a Monk.
