For real, why was fluid aura's damage taken away? Is there a single reason that makes sense?

They removed all CC skills damage! Same goes for other classes that had these skills. They could be planning where they become useful again and simply want players to stop using them for a silly free extra damage, and to be used as what they were made really in mind to do which was CC things.

Problem is WHM never used it for anything else. It now sits on our bar as a virtually dead skill. Because honestly 90% of groups will not thank you for knocking something back. It and Repose were buttons I honestly thought would be pruned in interest of removing button bloat.
I used Blank Shot a lot as a MCH to reposition a wayward mob back into the dogpile either when the healer pulled aggro or when a ranged mob decided to plant itself out of range. Granted this was easier for a DPS to do thanks to what they're focusing on, but knockback is still handy, just not something you need all that often.Problem is WHM never used it for anything else. Also who knows, maybe we'll get something like Nael again where we want to knock a golem away.
They also removed it from MCH's Blank shot. The HOPE is that this means you'll actually be able to knockback things other than trash mobs, because the damage was always sort of a consolation for when you couldn't.
Something to keep in mind is that since it does no damage it can no longer miss, but since they're taking accuracy away anyway I guess that doesn't really matter anymore.
