We can only hope Square will fix this before launch, otherwise White Mage will be abandoned by the player base, and I don't want to see that.

i use Cure1/2 all the time...... in Level 30-50 dungeons... Maybe that's where that want us to shine, old content!

the 4.0 changes to WHM are absolutely horrible
not only do we get half our skills stolen and moved over to the role skills without compensation, we also completely lose stoneskin, get horrible RNG added, and aside from the 0 mp cost buff all the new skills and passives are absolutely horrible
please SE fix this, you are literally killing WHM T_T
But that wouldn't be unique to whm. Astro has cards that refreshes resources, so that wouldn't work unless you took the tp and mp cards from ast.
*Goes into dungeon, Room wide damage* alright don't take any more damage im building lilies *spams cure 1*

I dont understand how they thought RNG and healing as part of the core feature of White Mage would be a good idea.
Everyone here is acting like they've played Stormblood already. The changes may sound bad on paper, but you won't know until the 16th. Complain after it's released, you have the grounds to then.
I haven't read the whole thread so might repeat something someone else has already said.
For me WHM seems meh, I understand what they mean by a "pure healer" but couldn't they of made Divine Bension scale by how many lilies you have or made it so that the more lilies you had when used the effect turns into an aoe and grows. Scale example; 1 Lily 15% barrier, 2 35%, 3 55%. AOE expample; 1 single target 15% barrier, 2 8y aoe 15% of target's max hp, 3 16y aoe 20% of targets hp. Scaling would make stacking lilies more useful to place strong barriers on a party member and AOE expansion would do the same as the more lilies you have the more area you can cover. On the aoe variantt you would obviously it on the tank so the barriers would scale off their hp and I raised the potency to 20% so it would have more of an impact than just a wider range . It would also make more sense for it to have it's 60s recast if it worked like one of the above.
As for Plenary Indulgence why not add a buff to the Confessions stacks? I mean yes it's short recast does mean it can be used often but that doesn't make it better if all it does is heal so why not make Confessions raise the targets damage resistance by per stack, increased healing received per stack, or better damage dealt per stack. It could even of done a combination of the 3 to a lesser extent. It's has a 20% chance of even landing so give me something that makes spamming cure and cure II actually worth it.

So WHM 4.0 = WHM 3.0, don't think in use his new skill, because RNG Shits... So WHM UNCHANGE at all! (and lose dps and skill thats deserve to him)
THATS IS STUPID!

It's funny because AST is now more direct of a healer than WHM.
One of WHM biggest strengths were you didn't need to jump through hoops to get some serious healing down. Now we got double RNG gated to pass through, and that's before we even consider getting 3 stacks for full benefits.
Heck, I know I'm just repeating myself now, but AST even heals for more than the WHM. The WHM. The "pure healer". The healer specialist. I seriously want to know how this passed checks and balances tests. Is there some super hidden spell we're all missing? Some hidden meta strategy to make WHMs gods of healing? Because right now, it SEEMS like by pure healer, they just meant they'll force us to heal more by tieing job mechanics directly to cure spells...I don't want to believe they all sat there and thought of something so uncreative but...
