I really dislike the WHM changes. It has been my main since the start and I just feel so sad reading the changes. And I especially hate that they took Divine Seal from us and gave all the healers a weaker version of it

They buffed cure potency of Cure, Cure II and Cure III permanently though, so it's like a full-time mini Divine Seal.

It's fine, it's also my own fault for assuming Cure is still 400 potency, didn't know they buffed it to 450.

I sincerely hope that it won't go live, maybe it was a "test" and they forgot to turn it back I don't know... But AST should NEVER have better baseline healing spells than WHM, this doesn't make sense

All hope isn't lost yet; this new content may demand more healing GCD's that's NOT AT ALL A BAD THING FOR HEALERS IN GENERAL. Esp those that want to feel more like a HEALER ROLE (classical understanding). LET'S PRAY............ something like this is the case......b/c it does look a bit gloomy (from current content lenses).

I agree; if this new content doesn't require a ton of Cure spam, WHMs aren't going to get a lot of use out of their toys.

I enjoy healing-intensive content that is actually engaging, but what concerns me is that, historically speaking, Cure spam has been the hallmark of the bad WHM who doesn't know how to use their other tools correctly to save GCDs and be more efficient. There had better be something actually worth Curing if WHM is going to be actively encouraged to play like this.

1 thing I didn't realize my 1st gander through, is the WHM Lv 70 skill:

It states there's a 20% chance of getting a stack on your heal target, you can use the skill to convert into 400 potency heal for your target + surrounding targets, so far so good.

BUT, the critical thing is, the RADIUS of this spell is a whooping 30 yalms.

TLDR: Everytime you cast Cure/II, you have a 20% chance of healing everybody for 400 potency.

That's hell alot of healing, but of course, if the game does not demand it, its still useless V_V.

Upon 3rd reading, it seems there's abit of a confusion, it may be possible the heal is only given to those with Confession stacks, the skill acts like a sort of a detonation (due to its 0 yalm range), and anybody within 30 yalms of you + have confession stacks will receive a heal, those without will not receive any healing.

I am very, VERY disappointed in whm changes. And the main reason I'm disappointed is because the confession and lily systems could've been great! They could've worked if they operated off of a regen and medica 2 tick proc system, so your tank with their two regens will gain more confession stacks to be healed more often, but you also gain lilies even while dpsing....


I am very disappointed and will be dropping my old healing main for now. I can only hope the devs change the lilies and confession system to regen procs or SOMETHING.

I think it's pretty safe to say SE hates whm.

Both Cure and Cure II have gained 50 potency.

The combination of PoM and Thin Air is going to be both potent and versatile.

Assize has kept it's dual potency and has had it's cooldown reduced to 60 seconds before we start chipping away at it with the lilly mechanics and cure procs.

I get the impression PI is an answer to Synastry rather than a group healing tool though, handy if you're splitting your cures across both tanks, but I assume it's going to have 0 potency without any confession stacks.

It might not be the buff that some people wanted, but whm did pretty well IMO.

On a side note, AST also received similar throughput buffs once you dig further into things, both Sects add 15% to healing potency instead of the cast/recast buff on Diurnal now. Aspected Benefic under noct stance is changed to a 200 potency cure but with a 300% modifier for the bubble. They lost ground vs WHM and SCH in nuking power though, with them now having the smallest nuke which is likely to offset the dps gain from lord cards.

Oh and balance is still 20% as of the media event.

You don't need Lillies to cast the new WHM bubble. It's purely a CD reduction mechanic that's shared between Tetra, Assize, Asylum and Benison. *edit* shown to be incorrect, oops!

Can someone tell me what exactly does WHM get to replace all the abilities we lost? Do we get new abilities to compensate for the pre-60 skills we no longer have or are no longer unique to us?

It's 0y range though. Won't that mean it'll be centered on us, and not our current target, like all other spells with 0y range (Holy, Medica, Media II etc.)? Kind of sounds like we'll just use the Confession stacks to boost the potency.
