The wording strongly suggests that your potential targets need to have Confession stacks to consume in order for the skill to work at all, which means that you need to have thrown out enough single-target Cures in a short time span to proc 1+ stacks on anyone you might want to heal with your subsequent Plenary Indulgence. This is sounding more than a little wonky.

Dude... it heals no one if they don't have stacks of confessions which they earn only by being healed with a cure I or cure II at 20% chance and it lasts for 30 seconds.

I hear the tank forums need a troll, why not go looking over there?

but yeah upon further reading, Cynfael is probably correct, I have also amended my previous post.

Man I just want SOMETHING to like about WHM.....Guess PoM + Thin Air + Holy..... I guess.

They really want us to cast Cure I and Cure II like no tomorrow huh....

Part of it just tells me they've given up. I've already discussed with my raid team that I'll switching to SCH and my co healer will be going AST because we believe that our team will benefit more from the utility more than from the healing. Now if I had it my way completely I would just main Samurai, but my team still needs a healer so I'm going to roll with it for now. We'll still level up WHM just in case, but I don't see us ever needing to use it.

Nah, they want people to stop playing WHM and play AST/SCH instead. Good thing I have both leveled... wonder if I have to refrain from even leveling whm to effectively protest this crap.

Honestly, I think it's more they have no idea how we actually play jobs. For them, White Mage just healing is perfectly fine. It only needs to heal! Even if Astro utterly demolishes it now. Perhaps this will be the wake up call the devs need because White Mage usage will drop severely now. There's... just no reason to play it anymore. At least, not in progression content.

It doubt you could have it happen in large enough quantities but I wonder if it would be a wake up call if large numbers of people just didn't even take whm to 70. Probably wishful thinking but maybe their metrics would show something when they say "um he guys there are like no whms at 70." I doubt I'll even bother leveling it cause what's the point it's screwed anyway and anyone doing healer in content will need sch or ast.

Why do they keep making ast so good? Why do they get a ground based and more powerful assize?
