They already said all dungeons will be marked as complete thus giving them a chance for all story dungeons. The only content people will still run as rolettes, because of the community jump potion is the best solution. There is no way around it this is a do current content only community and I get it now u must not somehow
There is plenty of ways around that which both I and many other people here have already outlined suggestions for. You simply didn't bother to read it.

Absolutely. But that has nothing to do with a skip potion. In fact, a large number of roleplayers covet them since plenty only care about their individual stories and not the overarching plot.

And that's the thing. It's an opinion. To people who have no interest in the story, it isn't a disservice. They simply do not care about it and have likely spammed through every cut scene or dialogue box since launch. I know dedicated raiders who haven't unsubbed once and could give you a play-by-play on how to do their job yet they couldn't tell you the names of half the scions. I also know roleplayers who know the lore inside out yet don't know a thing about the main story. Why does it matter to you these players find enjoyment elsewhere?
You're mistaking "hardcore" raiders as being the same as "good" raiders, I agree that good raiders will play with a balance of determination, skill, communication, and patience. But I wager that the majority of those raiders also played all of the MSQ and enjoyed the game for what it was designed for, as well. Raiding in many MMORPGs, and especially XIV, is an "aftergame" of sorts. Something to keep those players who have "done it all" busy and interested.

RPers are a special group among themselves and I won't even begin to try and include them in this... but they generally keep to other RP groups and not the general population, and if they do need to run a roulette they are usually very patient and courteous (likely a side effect of being an RPer).

But skipping the MSQ, and the class quest stories... hell, even the Manderville line.... you miss the entire point of a Final Fantasy title. It's an experience via journey and intended to be so. There is waaay more story and lore content in this game than raiding, and the pie slices speak to exactly what Square was going for with this game. Looking at the census results tells you how much of the population actually does any of the raid content at all.

I personally don't care what parts of the game others enjoy, but if you're blasting the rest of the game away just to do the few raids in the game... that's like buying a pickup truck to use only for drag racing. You're kinda missing the point.
