Naoki Yoshida's Comment in Regard to Jump Potions/Boost Potions

It's an issue because a game designed like this revolves around max level content. Go look at every other progression MMO in existence. So, if you want to rework the game to a place where this sort of thing will never be needed, it's going to have to be a whole new game, in a whole new subgenre. You're asking for them to scrap vertical progression and redo literally everything that exists in this game.

how is that asking for scrapping vertical progression when it promotes vertical progression faster? Just because WOW does something doesnt mean FFXIV has to, it might even make it, i dunno a different mmo from WOW or "every other" man that would be weird, a different mmo from whats expected. I dunno guys seems scary to me cause WOW didnt have the benefit of its own history to work around and are stuck in the cesspit of not bothering to fix the issue.Sure they dont sell jump potions for any real amount of money, right? Cause thats what this is really about. "But think of the children!" if SE cared about the issue, then theyd give a free potion, no cash shop. Period. But thats not the case is it? Its just the angle you want to protect.

Now were just going to make subscriptions manditory, and expensive cash shop items manditory to even play this game, meanwhile were crying about the people who havent been playing for 4 or 5 years and they just need to get to start the game or else they wont be able to progress. And I offer a solution for the future, it doesnt have to fully happen next expansion, it could slowly evolve if theyre worried, but again the issue is there is a way and it wont be hard to do later on. They will not do it, because its profitable to do it like wow did/does. So I dont support the idea at all, but I do"

I'm starting to have a difficult time understanding what you're actually asking for, at this point. You just said you don't want to scrap vertical progression, but your post I quoted pointed in that direction. WTF are you asking for, then?

Everyone knows this is a cash grab of course youd have to be blind not to know that but sense when is it a bad thing for a business to want to capitalize even tho this is a game we love and enjoy its still a business thats providing a service. And because of the games community and wanting to draw in more players a jump potion makes sense this game is almost similar to swtor where you have a sub fee, and a cash shop you get the best of both worlds.

Whats wrong with that I want this game to succeed look at how many people threaten to leave all the time cause of this or that, they are tryin to do things to bring more people to their game and to continue to make profit and bring us more content. And like I said again it would be one thing if titan extreme was just as active as zur extreme but its not because its old, just like zur will be old when the storm blood primals come out. So it makes no sense for those whom want to get the latest content the faster to have to go through msq, its an option some people will still do it the old fashion way and some wont and for those who wont let SE make some profit from it why not.
