    Like, I personally don't actually care about the stats of an item. I just wanna see at a glance if it's an improvement or not, so I can quickly decide whether to take it or leave it. Whether the improvement is due to a proc, some hidden ability, synergy with other stuff, more overall stats or whatever, I don't actually care - just make it obvious which is better and I'm golden. To me, stats have never been more than a tool to clear content and what got me really excited about items has always been the looks. In the end, my endgame has always been glamour and this game caters to this very well.

    I also rather like gear acquisition via tokens like tomes because I LOATHE RNG with every fiber of my heart. I don't mind working for items, but I prefer making steady progress towards them, rather than having a binary yes/no drop. Thus, I really like the latest relic steps. Atmas on the other hand can suck it >.> And you can guess what I think of "rare, awesome drops". I'm already getting immensely frustrated with the little RNG we have. Then again, I named myself Jinx for a reason. It's not a new issue.

    So...more content, sure, gladly. Who wouldn't like more content? Can wholly agree with that. But overall, I have to say I'm happy with how many of the game systems work and I can't say I want to change my gameplay all too drastically because the game changes to support it less.

    Have you leveled everything to 60 (doh/l dow/m)?
    Have you done all your beast tribe quests? To max rank 7/8?
    Have you got your anima 240?
    Have you cleared Alex A4s Midas M8s?
    Have you cleared all the extremes?
    Have you got your main to 240?
    Have you got your main crafting/gathering character to ilvl190?
    Have you got your retainers to 60?

    I'm not gonna get into Gold S at all.

    If you have done everything that I mentioned above, I will fully understand your point. If not, help me understand why haven't you as this game provides you with a hell load of stuff to do.

    Remember just being polite and wanting to understand.

    You're absolutely right and I just turned off auto renewal. There comes a point when problems just keep going unaddressed and unanswered. It feels like this dev team is hell bent on repeating the same old boring formula for end game progression and I think there are better end games to be had in other MMO's.

    Thank you for such a good point, I think it was a bit of an eye opener for me. Why play a game where the questions and concerns addressed are more about glamour and inventory space rather than end game content and character progression.

    This game slipped into boring stagnation mode and everything in the game feels like a cheap band-aid fix.

    If you community reps are reading this, how about doing a developer blog on the state of the endgame and acknowledge our concerns of the end game rather than another blog on deep dungeons, content that has been previewed in how many live letters/events now? You guys waste time on cheap frills. We already get what deep dungeons are about, without the pointless dev blog. How about talk about information that needs discussing rather than some linear dungeon crawl with all the same monster we have already seen before. You don't need to tease the tacky glowing weapons, we can all imagine what a lvl 30 job weapon glowing looks like. Give us actual information on subjects we have been debating on for months rather than more this silly fluff content preview.

    Your questions look like a checklist to fill like it was a job interview instead of actually talking about fun stuff.
    How many of those things are fun or actually worth to do before they become outdated?

    - Leveling everything to 60 is useless if you don't enjoy the classes.
    As long as you have 1 tank 1 healer and 1 dps class you are set to do everything, all others are just a copy paste anyway reskinned under a different job.
    - Beast tribes take 5 minutes a day to be completed.
    - Anima 240 is one of those things that get outdated fast and is not really worth it compared to the effort you put in to make it.
    - Alex Savage ok, not everyone likes raiding or sees it useful because you can be full 240 without doing it except for the weapon, that will soon be outdated anyway, even the titles are not bound to the expansion, can still get the final witness at 60.
    Also I know alot of raiders that stay afk the whole day at the market board, you can't raid all day everyday.
    - Main 240 is easy to do if you are full 230 already and there is no rush to do it, might just wait to do 1 weeping city each week and be ready for next patch.
    - Not everyone enjoys crafting but with this new catch up patch I capped all my crafting gear and I made so many gils in the first month that I don't even know what I need them for.
    - Retainer to 60 is a joke to do and doesn't really serve a purpose besides letting him bring back some stuff.

    I think that I covered all your points there from my point of view

    It's a matter of preference, but people are very quick to jump on the, "that's not content" bandwagon, which I think was the point the poster was trying to make.

    If doing those things isn't enjoyable, by all means, this game may not have enough content for you. But for plenty of people it is enjoyable, and it's really up to the devs to weigh data and see which voice is the "loudest", so to speak.

    That's, perhaps sadly, the golden question of game design that no one will ever truly solve. How do you make content that is equally engaging and exciting to everyone? The answer, simply put, is that you can't. Some players find PVP to be incredibly engaging, while others hate that kind of competitive play. Some players enjoy the challenge of hardcore raiding, but other players find them unnecessarily stressful and/or time consuming. Some players are intense about glamour, mounts, and minions, spending hours just designing their look. Others love to craft, or gather. Still others revel in the lore and story of the world, eagerly hunting out secrets wherever they might be found.

    Basically, "engaging" content differs drastically depending on the person. The best SE can do is attempt to satisfy multiple tastes. That's why they build hardcore raids, easier raids, Golden Saucer content, dungeons, story quests, the (admittedly poorly implemented) Diadem, primal fights, crafting economies, comedy quest-lines like Hildebrand, and soon the Deep Dungeon for those who enjoy smaller party sizes and randomized content. SE is clearly trying to satisfy different urges where they can, though we can certainly argue whether or not they've been successful at it.

    Everything you said is already in the game. Problem is how it gets implemented. The content feels soulless and put there just because players asked for it but they don't really understand/care about what players really wanted/asked for.
    Saying we implemented PVP when it's designed so bad it's still only a checkbox on a paper in the office (refering to the expression the OP used) without even looking at it from a player point of view. Same can be said for most of the other content.

    If you don't do half of the stuff PROVIDED by the game, why are you even playing it? Is it really worth paying a monthly fee for doing.....not much?

    If you not satisfied, you are playing the wrong game, something that is not catered for you. That's not the games fault but it's the owner. Specially when its quoted extremely dedicated player.
